When the patient in Chapter 8 eats the candy Genie S. Lady gives out, the bed he was lying on in the previous comic panel is gone. Petey's red cardigan sweater and tie were based on the clothing often worn by beloved children's television host, Fred Rogers from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. The musical interlude in Chapter 1 is a parody of the song, "The Greatest Love of All" by Michael Masser, with lyrics by Linda Creed. Petey, holding a dog whistle and a megaphone, rounds up all the dogs in town including Dog Man himself. Afterwards, Chief asks who got him the dots again, making the cops zong off the panel in dumbfoundment. Then, Dog Man reveals the fish from a box. Chief says he always wanted a fish, puts it on an orange stool with stripes, and names it Flippy. One of the cops reminds Chief to take the dots. Chief reads the instructions, and they say: " Don't take a lot... never more than a dot. Or something may happen... we ain't saying what." Chief takes one dot, and goes to Lunch. He slams the door way too hard. and the dots fall into Flippy's bowl. The book says that Flippy's brain grew eleven sizes, as he smiles an evil grin. Chapter 4: The Big Robbery [ ]

Flat Petey is upset about what happened, but dismisses it due to the fact that he still has the treasure tank. He then tells Dr. Boog E. Feeva that it was time for them to spend some of the "moolah". However, before they could do so, the mysterious stranger appears and shouts to Flat Petey, "Not so fast!".Soon, Petey finds out that his imposter is obsessed with treasure chests, but he knows how to trap him. He built the Treasure Tank 2000 but he doesn’t know how to get treasure but he found the Love Ray. So that way he will end up with a chest full of treasure. HD finished fixing Petey and his son's home, when the sippy cups destroyed it and 80-HD has to start all over again! The sippy cups are on the loose, and capture Grampa and Big Jim. 80-HD tries to defeat the sippy cups, but one of them squirts at him with apple juice, causing him to fall apart. The malic acid from the apple juice destroys 80-HD. Then, the same sippy cup swallows him. The second sippy cup eats Grandpa and Big Jim. Grampa calls Big Jim "buddy." Big Jim tortures Grampa later on for the rest of the book for this, sparking their argument. Meanwhile, Lil Petey and Molly entertain Sarah with their silly songs, to Petey's chagrin. They use outhouses because they need the bathroom. Petey takes Sarah to where it all began. A week later, Petey has finished his invention: Word-B-Gone 2000™. He tests it on a book, and it erases all the words in it. So Petey tests it out more on stop signs, bookstores, schools and libraries. Soon, Petey attaches his invention to an airplane and erases all the words in every book in the world.

In the Cat Jail, the hot dog thinks of how he can revenge on Petey. He goes into the kitchen, only to find a lot of hot dogs, bringing them all to life with the Living Spray. They follow their leader outside to start a revolution. Grades/activities: I would use this book to teach children in 5th of ADHD, since it’s in the book. I would want them to make a book where they make a disability not a disability but make it into something powerful like the author did . I would make 3rd graders make their own comic books and try to make a Flip- O -Rama . I would make 2nd graders draw their own super heroes. Sarah Hatoff, the news reporter, is at the place where Petey rounded up the dogs. Petey pushes a button, causing the spiky roof to come down. Sarah says that Dog Man will save them, only to be informed that Dog Man is in the cage as well.Chief is very surprised that Dog Man is wearing a cone.
