About this deal

Having heard some serious raving from the internet world about the famous mac skinfinish natural, I insisted that the SA put that on my face first. I must confess and this may raise some eyebrows that I was unimpressed. Seeing my doubtful expression the SA, in turn, insisted that I try the mac prep +prime finishing powder on the other half of the face. I could see immediate results right after she applied the powder. My skin did not look a flat matte but it looked completely natural but without the slight oiliness of the foundation that one gets after a few hours of wear. When we’re approaching things, we’re really just erasing versus covering. With the CC creams, two great colors would be the Neutralize and the Adjust. I tend to grab those a lot. And literally just kind of like push, pull and using brushes, or obviously using fingers, but just really acting like I’m skimming or erasing off the tones, before I approach [the skin] with foundation. And I love loose powder. I know that some people, when you really talk to the average consumer, they’re like, “It’s messy on my countertop,” and this and that. But there is that sort of je ne sais quoi— that light powdery-ness of loose powder — that looks velvety and almost soft-focused.

So, if you’re using the CC cream itself, or if you’re setting with the loose powder or compact powder, it’s the idea that because they are so sheer and delicate, it almost takes the guesswork out of the product for you.So I find myself really gravitating toward those two products, but I think, of course, for somebody on the go or someone traveling, obviously the compacts are the best choice. Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Compact swatches from the left: Adjust, Recharge, Neutralize and Illuminate One more question for you! With the powders, would you ever use them under the eyes? Do you love MAC’s primer? You can get the same finish for a fraction of the price with Rimmel’s matte primer. I would say, for sure, the CC creams. Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF 30 swatches from the left: Adjust, Recharge, Neutralize and Illuminate MAC’s Studio Fix concealer is a product women swear by. If getting one jar after another is too costly, give NYX Full Coverage concealer a try.

I hope MAC thinks about making a tinted version that looks better on me in pictures. Transparent powders tend to leave that white cast in flash photography, so if you plan to wear Prep+Prime Finishing Powder for pics, that’s something to think about. I prefer Prep+Prime, on the other hand, on glowy and casual skin days when I feel like wearing tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation. Break o’ dawn! Editor’s Note: This post was originally published on March 19, 2017, and has been updated for quality and relevancy. MAC’s popular face and body foundation is known for its lightweight coverage and natural finish. Surprisingly, Maybelline’s FIT me! foundation offers the same coverage and finish as well.

Yes! These are really forgiving. Imagine the Prep + Prime Translucent Powder that we sell. It’s basically that type of formula with a little bit of that color added to it, so they’re very, very flexible and forgiving under the eyes. CC me! Could have given more quantity for the price [also for the fact anyone who uses it first will lose some amount by letting the powder fly ;)] as I use it regularly these days and I am not being very generous fearing it might get over soon. lol 😉 RELATED: 5 Tutorials To Teach You How To Apply Makeup Like A Pro The Best Makeup Dupes Which Really Work Makeup Dupes Savings and Surprises OK, how would an everyday guy or gal incorporate these into their makeup routine? I’m looking at some of these colors, like the violet and the yellow, and thinking, “These look really, really cool…” but I have no clue what to do with them.

Hi, Victor! What can you tell me about these new Prep + Prime CC Colour Correct products? Should I be intrigued? Mac has not provided any applicator with this powder. For the price they could have provided a decent applicator. So now I am in search of an applicator that could be carried along with this powder. When news first broke about MAC releasing a pizza cutter eyeliner, the internet went wild. Why not? If MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Plus foundation has been a staple in your makeup kit, but you find the price to be getting more expensive by the day, why not give Rimmel’s Stay Matte Pressed Powder a try? So, first of all, they’re very sheer, and whereas in the past — perhaps with things other companies have done with them, well… If you’ve ever taken, for example, a light pink blush and put it on top of oily skin, it turns six shades darker, and that’s what was happening with color correctors. They had too much pigment in them, so they were actually turning the skin weird colors, as opposed to correcting. Neutralize, a sheer yellow
