Chivas Extra 13 Sherry Cask Selection is a rich yet sweet whisky that adds a deeper layer of flavour to the luxurious Chivas house style. A portion of this blended Scotch whisky is matured in Oloroso sherry casks, bringing rich and intense Mediterranean flavours to our whisky. The palate brings in more mellow notes of honey, milk chocolate and smoke. It is smooth and soft, with lots of vanilla and cinnamon spice. The warmth is brilliant. I’ve previously tasted the Chivas Regal Extra 13 Rye Cask, but I’ve mostly been looking forward to the Chivas Regal Extra 13 Tequila Cask, which I’ll be reviewing today.
