About this deal

Nov 20 From the U.S. to Japan, You Can Control the Life-Size Moving Gundam from the Comfort of Your Own Home Kakeru y Yamato son dos amigos de la infancia que no podrían ser más diferentes. Nov 25 i☆Ris the Movie - Full Energy!! - Anime Film Teaser Visual Revealed at i☆Ris Live Stage in Anime NYC & i☆Ris First Performance in New York Successfully Completed The weird thing about this series is that it insists on staying light and fluffy, but the mangaka clearly has a strong untapped skill for setting a tense and heavy atmosphere. It's meant to be cute, but at times it just feels strangely ominous. It doesn't feel like Syundei, who is clearly good at both horror and comedy and sometimes uses horror tropes for comedy. Instead, it seems like Mika wants to emulate wholesome mangakas like Fujitobi, Atsuko Yusen (Deko-Boko) and Harusono (Sasaki to Miyano), but these little dark moments just keep breaking through the fluff. I'm 100% sure that it's unintentional too, but I can't exactly explain why I think that. I just don't think she sees her manga in the same way as it comes off, to me at least.

neither of them make a move in changing their relationship, so they just stay at an awkward point of knowing there's SOMETHING between them, but not acting upon it out of fear or other personal misgivings. Miscommunication or misspoken words are standard fare, but for some reason it feels particularly stressful in this story. I wanted to faint when I found out that there are over 5 volumes of story released in Japan. I was only on volume 2! Both main leads fit and played the role perffectly! I was even a little surprised that Maeda Kentaro took on this role, as he has already starred in a few drama and doesnt actually need the BL hype. Kashiwagi Haru is so adorable as Kakeru. There is something about Japanese drama's 'awkward' acting that makes the scenes authentic. This is how we are in real life, and the way they talked to each other makes you really feel like you are watching the blossoming of love, the coming of age, raw and somewhat uninscripted. As the title suggests, the main conflict of the story does resolve around miscommunication. The two boys are not able to express their real feelings due to fear and other factors. However, this does not mean that the characters don’t communicate well. I really enjoyed that Yamato, no matter how much he hated that, was always honest with people who confessed to him. He never led anyone on. And even when things started going south between Yamato and Kakeru and the two were forced to be honest, they were both able to express themselves. Listen. There is nothing objectively wrong with this story. It's the classic BL setup of a guy in love with his somewhat oblivious childhood friend and is scared of rejection. They're cute and enjoy spending time with each other. My problem is that it feels like I'm reading sort of messed up psychological horror. What I also love is that Japanese BLs even if they are short, somewhat feel like you are watching a standard full-length full-production drama. The music and song is amazing and i easily found myself repeating each episode twice. Overall its a 9,5 and I hope a lot more BL fans discover this wonderful of a gem. And bonus points for not making any potential female love interests into villains! That’s a plot twist I am happy we avoided. Nov 24 Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space Releases an Update Featuring a New Episode 'The Cliffs of Wyrmrest (Wryz Saga I)' on November 24 Digital goods, open DVDs and Blu-rays, smart art prints, mystery bundles, and final sale items are excluded from the return policy. I've only read the first two volumes but I'm interested to see how this relationship develops. There's nothing too deep here and it is indeed pretty simple but it's simple in a really good way.

The character dynamics here are great. Kakeru and Yamato are both well developed (for a BL at least) and are believable. I enjoy their interactions a lot and the pure awkwardness of it all. I totally buy that they've developed crushes on each other and while, yes, the problem would be solved if one of them just said something, it makes sense that they're both too nervous to do so because they're worried they'll destroy their friendship. It was so sad to watch Kakeru pining for Yamato. He was so clueless. Yamato even said that his “type”, when it came to dating, was “a childhood friend I’ve known forever” (70). Not only is Kakeru Yamato’s only friend, but they have been friends since their childhood. I don’t understand how Kakeru could still not be sure if Yamato was gay and into him.
