Nestled against the quiet and picturesque foothills of Greenmeadows on the outskirts of Napier is New Zealand’s only nineteenth century winery – The Mission Vineyards.

Mission Concert producer James Erskine, Chairman of Sports and Entertainment Limited, says he’s delighted with the response from New Zealanders to attend the world’s biggest winery concert. So rarely, these days, do you see someone Smash It to such a high and palpable degree. So rarely does it feel as though the stars – man, mood and moment – align to create such pure, concentrated entertainment.”– VICE Imbalance of songs a little disappointing ..... more of the hits and less of the swing would have been better regardless of this being Vegas.

The experience of meeting Robbie was unique!! He greeted me, hugged me, I could talk to him a little and then the photo. And because of this photo I'm still annoyed today! It was supposedly a professional photographer!? Allegedly!!? Rating: 4 out of 5 Fantastic evening with a minus! by Edit on 8/31/19 Encore Theater at Wynn - Las Vegas We were so excited to be able to see Robbie in the US and he did not disappoint. The Vegas show had a Vegas type feel with dancers and old standards includes along with his great hits. We would definitely see him again. Cloaking is available via the Customer Service Centre (Gates 1 & 8). Any prohibited items listed in the venue Conditions of Entry will not be accepted for cloaking. At times, the narrative of overcoming life’s hurdles threatened to become overbearing, a little like attending a communal self-help seminar. But nobody in attendance cared, and once they’d wiped away their tears following She’s the One, they unleashed an earth-rumbling rendition of Angels. Established in 1851 by French missionaries Father Lampila and two lay brothers Florentin and Basil on seven acres given to them by a friendly Maori chief, Puhara, they planted crops and wines. This was the beginning of Mission Vineyards. A truly entertaining performance. A mix of songs, chatting and jokes. Some people were disappointed Rob didn't do more of his big hits and did some covers, but he is a showman and this was HIS show. The concert is a reminder that America’s insulation from the European musical mainstream since the mid-90s is America’s loss. It is also a reminder that pop music can be fun, classy, and entertaining without being sonically hollow. It is my sincere hope that Robbie Williams’ return to the American stage forces a re-evaluation of gatekeepers in the American musical mainstream that have largely failed in their endeavor to uphold one of the fundamental tenets of responsible media – diversity. Robbie Williams is without doubt one of the finest male pop stars of his generation, having sold over 85 million albums, 13 UK number one albums (the most for any solo artist, equalled only by Elvis Presley) and 14 number one singles as a solo artist.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Absolutely amazing show. Robbie as usual entertained us by J. E. on 7/10/19 Encore Theater at Wynn - Las Vegas This was followed by a video of Robbie Williams being broadcast on the curtains with the crowd cheering on deliriously. The curtains opened to a jaw-dropping stage setup. This was the first indication that Robbie Williams had decided to emulate elements of a stadium concert setup within the smaller confines of a theatre. In fact, the stage set design is one of the smartest uses of spaces I have seen in a very long time. The stage featured three ramps two of which were joined like a horseshoe and a center ramp. There were circular spaces between the ramps which is where the band performed. Robbie Williams made a rather dramatic entry via a suspended platform from the ceiling of the theatre. Started late and lasted less than two hours so a little on the stingy side for those who had travelled thousands of miles to see him.

This might be the new mature, family-man Robbie (however flamboyantly clad), but his charisma is undimmed, and it was clear from the emotion on his face that this period of his career means more to him than anything that has come before. Earlier on the same stage, Niall Horan laid out his credentials as one of the possible successors to Robbie’s throne. His career trajectory may be similar, but where Robbie was the poster boy for laddish danger, Horan is genial and humble. “It is one of the honours of my life to play this festival,” he remarked, and seemed genuine. Wynn is the poshest casino in Vegas. The Shops are insane, including a McQueen and a Dior store, so definitely explore the property while you're there for the show. Encore is an intimate theater of 1,500 seats with great sound and the production is excellent. You won't see Robbie Williams perform in such a small venue anywhere else in the world. His voice is much improved since he quit smoking and he seems to focus on hitting the notes in this setting. The set list on his Take the Crown tour was more satisfying for a fan but an uninitiated listener will appreciate the familiarity of the songs in the Vegas set and the humor. It is quintessentially a Vegas show in the tradition of Wayne Newton, Elvis and Dean Martin. Would love to see more strings incorporated into the song arrangements ala Live at Royal Albert Hall. The Mission Concert, which boasts a proud history of presenting the world’s biggest and best entertainers including Rod Stewart, Elton John, Sting, Phil Collins and many more since 1993, marks three decades of amazing entertainment with Robbie’s performances on Saturday, 11 November and now, Sunday, 12 November. Debbie Harry, on the other hand, is much too cool to smile. As she strode out onto the main stage, her eyes behind a retro sci-fi visor, it was as if she had beamed in from another planet. Effortless, ageless and poised, she oozes star quality, and within seconds she and and Blondie had the festival under her spell.
