About this deal

But they have no idea how to direct and edit, the music will make your ears bleed, the acting is atrocious, the sets are ridiculously phoney, and the kills are mostly lame. I won’t spoil the fun but there are some very interesting, funny and out there ways these clowns make their kills. They continue to promise further adventures in the Killer Klown universe, but at this point, the possibility of that seems unlikely. In several of the interviews, there’s even talk of the planned sequel, which still appears to be in the works and, yes, will feature practical effects. For more about Killer Klowns from Outer Space and the Killer Klowns from Outer Space Blu-ray release, see Killer Klowns from Outer Space Blu-ray Review published by Jeffrey Kauffman on April 19, 2018 where this Blu-ray release scored 4.

Beneath their smirky sinister grins and wildly patterned clothes are clever killers from out of this world.Watching the film, it’s obvious to see Vernon is having fun with his fascist character and I was happy to hear behind the scenes he was a great sport about the film and excited about it. The image is also razor sharp for the most part, and because of that the details in in the creepy clown/klown costumes pop off the screen. Really, the craft on display is the key component, making the demo-reel aspects both the best and worst things about the movie. Meanwhile, the harvested humans are slowly being turned into cotton candy and the clowns are reeking havoc on the small town, one deadly sideshow trick at a time. Deleted Scenes • Bad Experience (1080p; 2:14) is available with an optional commentary by the brothers.

Interviews, making-of documentaries, an audio commentary track with the Chiodo brothers (which has been released previously), trailers, deleted scenes, image galleries, bloopers – this thing has it all. Film grain is rendered naturally and cleanly most of the time; grain can get a bit blocky in a few of those crushed out darker sequences, but for a majority of the time it looks incredible. Yet, the overall picture doesn't show a great deal of sharp definition, looking fairly soft for a majority of the time. A spaceship - looking like a circus tent - lands in a field near a small town, signaling the attack of deviant, red-nosed, balloon-twisting psychos from another world who plan to annihilate mankind - by turning people into cotton candy!

Grain levels appear accurate and do not overwhelm the consistency of shapes or decrease the vibrancy of cinematographer Alfred Taylor’s candy-colored palette. Several remarks are on creative decision, budgetary restraints, themes and some history behind the story and the origins of several ideas. Very early on, we see inside their spaceship tent, and it's a beautiful glass matte shot right out of Forbidden Planet. In his limited free time, Randy also enjoys slacking off, juggling HD DVDs, and writing in third person.

com is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Pay4Later Limited, trading as Deko, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 728646). Kreating Klowns, which features Chiodo again along with Dwight Roberts, covering the mechanics and puppetry behind the practical effects in the film (also featuring footage of the model for the big boss clown being made); and then Komposing Klowns, featuring composer John Massari, who is especially proud of this film’s score. This includes VHS releases from Media Home Entertainment and MGM, a Laserdisc from Image Entertainment, a special edition DVD from MGM, and a Blu-ray version of that MGM special edition. Audiences are not required a familiarity with the B-horror features it plays homage to, as the impressive visuals and make-up effects are more than enough to deliver the laughs the plot promises. Still, volume levels are at least mixed well, dialogue is clear and I didn’t detect any noise or damage in either track.Arrow Video released Killer Klowns from Outer Space on Region B Blu-ray with a nice transfer and extras in 2014. Updated daily and in real-time, we track all high-def disc news and release dates, and review the latest disc titles. So, in the words of the film s opening theme song, hop aboard the nightmare merry-go-round and brace yourself for a cinematic experience unparalleled in this galaxy! the film is just flat out sweetly silly and ridiculous, with a kind of "by the seat of your pants" production ethos that is positively endearing. The very idea of it sounds like something a group of kids from a college dorm would make on a lark, yet the Chiodo Brothers managed to make it palatable for genre fans.

Optional commentaries featuring the brothers offer explanations as to why the scenes were cut, either due to length or technical issues (like crappy lighting). Although intelligible from beginning to end, conversations feel flat, lifeless and canned with some noticeable hissing in a few conversations and a bit of reverb. The sole directorial effort from the Chiodo brothers the special effects team behind such hits as Critters and Team America: World Police Killer Klowns from Outer Space is the wacky 1988 horror comedy classic against which all other knowing B-movie efforts should be measured.Cliché-ridden and hysterical absurd, the film comes with a very dark, twisted sense of humor that's bizarrely lighthearted and animated.
