About this deal

On October 111994, Kathleen Doris Hempsall was found dead at her home on Longdales Road in Lincoln after being stabbed. A woman and child have lost their lives in the most devastating way and I know their loved ones will be feeling the magnitude of that today and our thoughts go out to them. Simpson today (Monday) appeared at Lincoln Crown Court by video-link custody for a pre-trial hearing, and spoke only to confirm his name.

Her tragic story highlights the urgent need for better awareness and diagnosis of this deadly disease, which has a 5-year survival rate of less than 8%. Photograph: Lincolnshire police/PA Marcel Grzeszcz, who a court heard stabbed Roberts Buncis ‘in excess of 70 times’. You have been listening to our safety advice and sharing our appeals, all of which has helped us to do our job to the best of our ability. Simpson was remanded into custody and will next appear at Lincoln Crown Court for a further pre-trial hearing on June 20.The victims have been named as his former partner Bethany Vincent, 26, and her nine-year-old son Darren Henson, who were both found fatally stabbed in Louth on Monday. There has also been a Crimewatch Appeal, and an on-going investigation to trace Pawel Wrzyszcz, a car washer who worked where Mr Wood took his red Jaguar car.

Numbers fluctuated through the remainder of the year, with the highest number, 7,005, being recorded in July. A woman in her 30s sustained injuries consistent with a knife wound and was taken to hospital for treatment.crimes involving violence were reported throughout December 2020, a decrease of almost 500 compared to the 2,104 violent crimes reported in December 2019. John George Haigh (1909 – 1949), also known as the ‘Acid Bath Murderer’, was an English serial killer convicted for the murder of six people, although it’s believed there were nine victims in total. The brutal torture and killing of 50-year-old Alan Wood was in October 2009, and is one of the most horrific crimes Lincolnshire has ever seen. His bank cards were stolen and used in Bourne and nearby Stamford over the days that followed and the criminal or criminals walked away with just a couple of hundred pounds. DNA was found at the scene of the crime, where a potential suspect's blood was present, alongside small fragments of paper embedded into the tape that was used to tie up Mr Wood.

Lincolnshire Police say it is not possible to establish the number of suspects arrested, as this investigation exists only in paper format and has been archived. The judge said there was “a significant degree of planning and premeditation” involved in the attack, with Grzeszcz turning up with a large knife and latex gloves. The author also includes some little-known mysteries: three unsolved homicides from across the county, including the killing of the ‘Barton recluse’ and the enigmatic death of a young farmer in Gedney in which the dead man’s dog appeared in court. In a short victim impact statement read to the court on behalf of Roberts’s father, Edgars Buncis, he said: “How do I put into words how I feel? While Grzeszcz may not have initially intended to kill him, “given the number and nature of the injuries which you inflicted upon the deceased, there came a time when you did intend to kill him and proceeded to do so”, the judge said. Part of the investigation centred on trying to trace a Citroen 2CV car seen on the garage forecourt shortly before the murder. Latvian man Vasilijs Ransevs (33) was found dead at his house on Portland Street in Lincoln on June 16, 2013. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their continued support in what we do. Lincolnshire Police's head of crime, Detective Chief Superintendent Andy Cox, said: "This has been a tragic, extraordinary, and worrying set of circumstances in equal measure.

This piece of work is on-going and we will release more information when this work concludes in the near future. Some involved violent acts and one has even been linked to the Yorkshire Ripper, but Lincolnshire Police have been unable to conclusively say who was responsible for these deaths. The couple are believed to be Britain’s youngest double murderers and have been likened to the infamous American criminals Bonnie and Clyde. Mr Justice Pepperall described Boulton as a "manipulative and controlling" man and said his violence towards Ms Vincent was "borne out of a desire to control her life and a deep sense of frustration when you did not get your own way".

At the time of the arrests, DCI Helen Evans, Senior Investigating Officer in the enquiry, said: “The investigation into the death of Vasilijs Ransevs has been lengthy and complex. The crimes are broken down into categories such as violence, robbery, drug-related and vehicle-related offences. On June 16 2013, Vasilijs Ransoms from Latvia died in his home on Portland Street as a result of physical assault. Cold cases: Of crime cases in Lincolnshire to have gone cold, the violent murders of nine people in the county remain a mystery – with the oldest incident dating back to 1979. He believed it to be an undetectable method of destruction and that if the bodies could not be found he would not be convicted of murder.
