About this deal

The updated be quiet! Pure Base 500 FX doesn’t tinker with the original formula too much, and that’s a good thing, as it was a great case already. However, there’s now ARGB lighting from the included fans, as well as from the unique front panel lighting integration. They’ve included four ARGB PWM Light Wings fans, which are basically the RGB versions of their popular Silent Wings series. There’s a PWM and ARGB fan hub included too, so you can easily control all of the effects, as well as your cooling/acoustic performance. Beyond that though, the 500 FX looks largely unchanged, from the DX so let’s dive in for a closer look! Features All of this said, we are certain that the Pure Base 500 FX's strengths lie within the Air Cooling world. Cable Management

The side panel attachment is the same as on many other be quiet! cases, including their top-of-the-line Dark Base Pro 900 rev. 2, and although it makes sense for the Pure Base line, we hope they come up with something more advanced in the future for their high-end cases. It’s the usual fragile metal tabs punched out of the steel of the side panel that slot into holes in the case on one side, and thumbscrews through glass on the other. Both work fine, and be quiet! does a good job of shaping its steel side panels with rails that keep them rigid and slide neatly into place, but there are better ways to do this, like the NZXT H710’s system. All thumbscrews on the case (other than the ones through the glass panel) are captive. As long as general case cooling and the necessary airflow are concerned, the Pure Base 500 got you covered. This is without a doubt the best way to have multiple RGB devices connected to the same PC, and controlled from the same software as we are going to see below. In fact, let’s go with it, and we are going to take as we have said the example of the be quiet! with SignalRGB, a program that is designed to replace each and every one of the PC’s RGB control programs and to be able to have all the hardware unified in a single program. How to use SignalRGB to sync lighting in be quiet! For CPU coolers and their height restrictions, there is slim to none. With up to 190mm high coolers, it will be hard, or even impossible to find anything that can exceed this limitation. Fans

A good option for novice builders and those who don’t care about RGB

All of this said, the Pure Base 500 FX is definitely an Air-cooling focused case. While the 360mm Rad spot in the front might sound impressive, this one is bound to the removal of the HDD Cage at the bottom of the case. A few other things worth noting. CPU coolers cannot be taller than 190mm, which covers several CPU cooling options. The longest the GPU can be is 396mm, and the PSU can be 225mm to fit without any changes but can be as long as 258mm with some parts swapping. We also see that this Pure Base 500 FX keeps the same warranty, where you are covered from defects for three years. Az elülső I/O porton USB 3.2 Gen. 2 Type C csatlakozó található, amely lehetővé teszi a legújabb hardverek használatát. Az előlapon egy kapcsoló is található a belső és külső LED-ek vezérlésére. However, there is more. The Front of the Pure Base 500 FX is covered in a highly airflow-let-through mesh structure. This paired with the excellent magnetic dust filter on the top portion allows for some serious air cooling.

At this “performance” fan preset for the case fans there was a slight increase in GPU load temps within the enclosure (vs. the the open testbed) with these particular components, and a decrease in CPU temps inside the case. Of course, the effects and colors that you can select are almost unlimited, because remember that the RGB range has 16.8 million different colors and shades. For GPU dT, the DX averaged 54C. As usual, that’s nearer to average compared to other GPU temperatures on the chart, but still acceptable. The P400A RGB still does better by a couple degrees, as does the NZXT H710, but the only cases that beat it by a large margin are ones with direct GPU cooling like the DIYPC Zondda-O and our custom configuration of the Lian Li O11 XL. CONCLUSION There are dust grilles underneath the case as well as in the front. Therefore, large-grained dust cannot penetrate the case, which can reduce cleaning efforts. Nevertheless, the grilles should be cleaned regularly so that the airflow is not affected by collecting dust. A tápegység könnyen felszerelhető hátulról, a mellékelt PSU konzolra szerelve. When you have a lot of devices with RGB or A-RGB lighting, it’s quite easy for your motherboard to run out of connectors available to everyone; For this, there are RGB hubs like the one included in be quiet! in his box Pure Base 500FXan integrated controller that will allow you to not only control the lighting of up to 6 connected RGB devices, but also the fans, it’s a 2×1!
