About this deal

Available in a range of colours, the Zenith 2 has fully adjustable airflow that allows for true user customisation. Innokin has also changed up the mouthpiece so now you can use your favourite tips! Right at the bottom of ‘The Face’ of the Coolfire Z80 device is the USB-C port for charging and firmware upgrades.

For fun, I put the airflow slider up to the maximum and to be honest its way too much airflow for an MTL and probably not enough for a restrictive Direct Lung – Right in that awkward position. Innokin Coolfire Z80 Airflow Being a single 18650 device, the Coolfire Z80 kit feels nice in the hand, particularly as a thumb firer with your fingers wrapping around the padded section and your pinkie resting under the device for support. Lets get the confusion out of the way. I’ll try and make this as simple as possible, for my own sake as much as yours. As for my experience with FØ mode, I would be lying if I told you that I noticed a difference in flavor. Regarding coil life, there are simply too many parameters to consider, so I can’t say if it actually extended it—especially since I have been using this device for a limited time. What I did notice was the vibration itself (sometimes in sound too) and a slightly different vape experience when changing Hz. I’m not saying that FØ mode doesn’t work, and I have heard of people noticing a difference, but I can’t personally vouch for it. The airflow is adjusted using the bottom ring which has a nice resistance to it and consists of a large cyclops opening for a more RDL vape, and then threesmall holes for your MTL vape. It works really well and actually gives a wide range of airflow options, but it’s not the quietest airflow as there was almost always a whoosh sound which was verging on a whistle.

Innokin Coolfire Z80 Features

The 26 mm diameter of the tank may be an issue for some, but it’s only a problem if you buy the tank on its own and plan on using it with a smaller mod. But don’t let that distract you from the fact that the Zenith II is one of the best MTL tanks you can get right now, and the Z80 is an excellent mod for it. I can’t recommend this kit for RDL vaping, but for MTL, it gets two thumbs up. All you need to do to refill this tank is twist the top and fill with up to 2ml of the e-liquid of your choice. As it supports the entire Innokin Zenith coil range, you can choose coils from 0.3 Ohm to 1.6 Ohm. To match sub ohm coils, we’d recommend an e-liquid that’s around 70% VG or higher, which will produce a greater amount of vapour. Whereas, if you prefer an MTL coil, we’d suggest a 50% PG or higher e-liquid. As well as this, you can twist the bottom of the tank to adjust the airflow and find an inhale that’s either tighter or looser. Frequency of use: the frequency of use is a determining factor in the lifespan of your coil. A vaper using his electronic cigarette all day and every day will have to change coil more regularly.

If you’re looking for a proper kit, that’s going to last and be enjoyed, the Coolfire Z80 Kit is a respectable option. The front of the display has a really nicely style fire button, protruding nicely and with that nice etched circular effect, it really stands out thanks to the gold rim around the button.

Conversely, an occasional vaper who only partially uses their e-cig can expect the coil to last a few days or weeks longer. With the larger of the two drip tips installed, the airflow to the max and the wattage set at 35 watts I enjoyed a chilled out, slightly restrictive Luke-warm vape with enough flavour to keep me satisfied. The Zenith 2 tank will take any of the coils from the ‘Z-Coil’ range meaning the Zenith 2 tank will suit a number of different vapers depending on your preference. A resistor is a consumable part of your electronic cigarette. Generally, an electronic cigarette coil should be replaced every one to three weeks. Several factors will influence how often you need to change it:

The Innokin Zenith II Tank is the next upgraded version of the Zenith Pro mouth to lung tank series featuring a new minimalistic look. The Zenith II Tank features a redesigned airflow system for a better and smoother mouth to lung hits and great direct to lung vape experience. Innokin has opted to remove the auto-liquid shut off feature on the Zenith II Tank to make space for a replaceable glass feature that makes the tanks maintenance cost as low as possible. The mouthpiece riser has also been removed to allow for a more wide vartiety of mouthpieces. Cut off the power when firing from 3 seconds to 18 seconds along with displaying the Device Identification number and restoring the device to factory settings. Flavour & Clouds The Innokin Zenith II tank is compatible with most mods thanks to it featuring the standard 510 connection. It supports all of the coils from the Innokin Zenith range, making it an ideal choice if you’re looking to experience different types of vape with one tank. This is because there are options for whether you’re looking for an MTL (Mouth To Lung) vape, a DTL (Direct To Lung) vape or something in between.

Build quality and design

I’ve really no concerns over the lifespan of the Coolfire Z80 kit as long as you take care of it with regular maintenance, cleaning of the tank and aren’t too bothered by scruffs and scratches. I’ve mostly enjoyed using the Zenith 2 tank as an MTL tank with the 0.8Ω coil but it performs well as a restrictive direct lung vape with the 0.3Ω coil. Refresh runs 40% of the power through the coil to draw more liquid in and also helps extend coil life. You can choose auto which will run this for you, or manual and hold the fire button for how long you wish to run this for. I honestly didn’t notice much of a difference at all when using this, but if it extends coil life then I’m all for it. That is, the sweeter an e-liquid is and the higher its glycerin content, the more it will tend to foul coil faster than other e-liquids. I was pleasantly surprised by both coils. I went through more than 40 mL of e-liquid on each coil and they showed no signs of slowing down.
