About this deal

NatWest, RBS and Ulster Bank to close at least 172 branches in 2023/24 – here's the full list, plus alternatives

Autumn Statement: Workers to pay less in national insurance – but rate cuts don't offset the freezing of personal tax thresholds The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has today (Wednesday 22 November) announced a range of tax, benefits and savings measures. We round up the key announcements and what they mean for you. Are you into sunscreen agents? We have shiny explanations(along with product lists) about others as well: Martin Lewis: What the Autumn Statement means for you – including wages, benefits, pensions, ISAs, national insurance and moreIn the mid-1980s, Bergasol ran a series of magazine and billboard adverts for suntan oil. My recall of these is remarkable, since five minutes ago I rummaged around in my bag to find my phone, but by the time I located it had no memory of who I had been planning to call. And if I go upstairs to fetch something, I have to recite the name of it under my breath. But I digress. Where was I? Ah, yes. With suntan oil adverts that are burnt on to my retina decades later. NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Ulster Bank, which are all part of the NatWest Group, will now shut at least 172 of their bank branches in 2023 and 2024. Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, aka Tinosorb M, the good buddy of our current molecule Tinosorb S Ethylhexyl Triazone, aka Uvinul T 150, another new generation sunscreen agent with super-high UVB protection

It's a new generation sunscreen agent that was specifically designed for high SPF and good UVA protectionand based on a 2007 study that compared 18 sunscreen agents available in the EU it really had the best SPF protection(they used the highest concentration allowed by EU regulations from each 18 sunscreens and Trinosorb S gave an SPF 20 all by itself). TEMPERATURES are rising in France over a proposed change to European safety rules that would ban high concentrations of a chemical in suntan lotions because of suspicions that it may cause cancer. If adopted, the new rule would mean that the present range of Bergasol sun creams could no longer be sold in the European Union. Bergasol’s manufacturer, Bergaderm, based just outside Paris, says its products protect skin from the harmful effects of the Sun. It is an oil-soluble, slightly yellowish powder that is not absorbed into the skin too much. This is good news for a sunscreen agent as it needs to be on the surface of the skin to do its job properly. Regarding Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine side effects, we have good news here as well: it has a great safety profile and unlike a couple of other chemical sunscreens, Trinosorb S (and M) does not showestrogenic activity.

Last month an EU committee voted to limit the concentration of psoralen in cosmetics to one part per million. This is between 30 and 60 times lower than the level in the Bergasol range. Only the French representative on the committee voted against the change. As our understanding of the dangers of tanning has developed, most sensible people have moved on from tan-worship. Once, after I returned from Ibiza, a chic fashion-industry friend said to me: “You do know, Jess, don’t you, you are much too brown?” Reader, I took it as a compliment. Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7% Both employees and self-employed workers will pay less in National Insurance from next year, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has announced in today's Autumn Statement. Jean-François Doré, an author of the study, says the results suggest “there is an added risk for melanoma” from using sunscreens containing bergamot oil.
