About this deal

This professional use only formula provides an effective, instant softening treatment for calluses, toe nails and cuticles, dry keratinized skin, hyper-keratosis and fissures/rhagades. Use a pumice stone to remove the buildup of dead skin after bathing gently. But be careful not to take off too much skin. Spray Footlogix® Callus Softener on the soles of the feet and around toenails; liberally apply to calluses and dry skin. Ensure your exercise shoes have enough room in the front part of the shoe and that your toes are not excessively compressed. To avoid calluses on the feet, you need to reduce the point of pressure and rubbing on your feet and hands.

Shoe inserts. If you have an underlying foot deformity, your health care provider may prescribe custom-made padded shoe inserts (orthotics) to prevent recurring corns or calluses. Use corn pads. Apply a donut-shaped foam pad to protect the area where a corn or callus formed. Be careful using nonprescription liquid corn removers or medicated corn pads. These contain salicylic acid, which can irritate healthy skin and lead to infection, especially in people with diabetes or other conditions that cause poor blood flow. You can protect healthy skin by applying petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the area around the corn or callus before using a medicated pad. Goldstein AO, et al. If a corn or callus persists or becomes painful despite your self-care efforts, medical treatments can provide relief: Take care of your shoes by repairing them or replacing them regularly. Worn-out soles typically are not very good at cushioning your feet. Also if you notice that the soles or heels of your shoes tend to wear unevenly, you might want to talk to a chiropodist or podiatrist about corrective shoes or insoles. Calluses are reactions to excessive pressure on the heel, the forefoot or the palm of your hand. By eliminating the source of pressure, they will probably resolve on their own. If you decide to start treating your callus, keep in mind that this can be a long process and it may not be achieved in a single day. Keep your ankle, Achilles tendon, and calf muscle flexible by stretching your plantar fascia daily.Dosage is based on your medical condition, product type/brand, and response to treatment. Do not use large amounts, apply this medication more often, or use it for a longer period than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased. Before using salicylic acid, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs- NSAIDs (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. Step 2: File the callus with a pumice stone or foot file.– Once the callus is softened, you can file it with a pumice stone. Dip the pumice stone in water and then gently remove the dead skin by circular or sideways motions. You can also use a foot file as an exfoliating tool. Pay attention not to remove too much skin as this might cause bleeding and infection. Instead, remove only small amounts and repeat the action regularly until the callus disappears.

If you are going to have an MRI test, tell testing personnel if you are using the patch. Some patches may contain metals that can cause serious burns during an MRI. Ask your doctor whether you will need to remove your patch before the test and apply a new patch afterward, and how to do so properly. Avoid anything that puts pressure on the balls of your feet—including high heels and walking barefoot, especially on hard surfaces like cement.
