Here's think link for everyone interested: https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertai... He held on to her as if she were a grudge, his body rigid ad tense, as if he really didn't want her there, and yet his arms were tight around her waist as though he had no intention of ever letting her go.” Y'all am not gonna joke here but read this if you like Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame 👀🤭😂 He held her so tightly it hurt, but this pain she didn’t mind. She’d let him crush her, let him break her, just as long as he never let her go. This was what she wanted, and she refused to believe that he didn’t want it, too."

Update (Dec 12, 2022): This book has a title--A CURSE FOR TRUE LOVE is the title of the third (and final) book in the One Upon A Broken Heart series. I hope you all love this title as much as I do. I'm so excited that I was finally able to share it today, and I look forward to sharing more news about this book in the upcoming months! But let's get a little bit distracted from men in this book and say a couple of words about women. To be honest, I wish there were more female characters I would want to root for or know more about. Evangeline though was very nice and I found I wasn't annoyed by her inner voice as this book is from her POV and more often than not female characters get on my nerves. Evangeline was an easygoing character whose adventure I enjoyed following along with her. i want you, evangeline fox. i want to write ballads for you on the walls of wolf hall and carve your name on my heart with swords. i want you to be my wife and my princess and my queen." I have no idea if this is a duology, I just always assumed so because of the title but it’s probably not She used to think love was like a house. Once it was built, a person got to live in it forever. But now she wondered if love was more like a war with new foes constantly appearing and battles creeping up. Winning at love was less about succeeding in a battle and more about continuing a fight, to choose the person you loved as the one you were willing to die for, over and over."

Thank you, Stephanie, for breaking my heart since the beginning because I couldn't handle it after I realized about it... I just lost my shit. Completely. She used to think love was like a house. Once it was built, a person got to live in it forever. But now she wondered if love was more like a war with new foes constantly appearing and battles creeping up.”

but other than that devastation (!!) another favourite this was perfection. i love this even more than ouabh. tbona had everything i was so excited for before.

Did we miss something on diversity?

Again, just like with Caraval, this book was written brilliantly. This author has such a way with words, her writing style is IDEAL for writing fantasy! I didn't really find much quote-worthy material, but every separate sentence had a beautiful athmospheric structure.
