About this deal

Why we love it: If you're someone who regularly uses fake tan products, then a tan eraser is a must-have. This versatile product can be used to exfoliate and prime your skin in preparation for self-tanning, as well as correcting any mistakes made during application. It's free from parabens and sulphates and has a vegan, cruelty-free formula too. Pros: It applies so evenly and fades evenly, too. Even the worst-ever fake tan appliers (me) will get an all-over natural glow. Because the tan is so light after the first application, it’s hard to say. I didn’t notice much of a difference until I’d applied it two or three times. Colour:

In the Good Housekeeping Institute lab, we used a Digi-Eye machine to visually assess how evenly the tan faded over a period of seven days, giving each product a score out of five. GLAMOUR-approved: “I’ll be totally honest, I’m fairly new to the fake tan scene. Two years ago the closest I’d get would be a gradual moisturiser which, on my olive-y skin tone, wouldn’t do all that much. Bondi Sands’ self-tan foam is the second proper fake tan I’ve ever used and I can honestly say it’ll be the only one I use for the rest of my life. I’ve got vitiligo which is less noticeable in the winter but really prominent throughout summer, and, while I don’t shy away from embracing it at all, the sheer contrast of my natural skin against my patches can often make me feel self-conscious. I’d always written off the idea of using a self-tanner, though, as I worried the vitiligo would simply go orange, but having tried this magic formula I really had nothing to worry about. It goes on seamlessly (I recommend exfoliating and shaving the day before to avoid it settling in your pores), dries in perfect timing and smells like a tropical holiday.”

Not much, no. Again, because the colour is so light, even if it does streak, it won’t be too noticeable, and a couple of extra applications should cover it up. Does it transfer? They usually come in a dropper format, which allows you to customise your shade — the more drops you apply, the deeper the tan. If you want a speedy tan, we've tried and tested a whole bunch of formulas in countless scenarios: from gym classes to GLAMOUR's Women of the Year Awards. We've also lined up some application tips that will make applying your tan a breeze. So, whether you like a deep golden tan or a subtle whisper of warmth, there are options and lessons for all. A: Results can vary, but many users report seeing a subtle glow within a few days of consistent use. The color continues to develop with regular application. With two shades to choose from — 'medium' and 'dark' — these drops provided a fairly customisable tan. All our testers found that their tan gradually built up with repeated application, with almost everyone saying that there was no orange undertone in sight. Also white and gloopy, like Johnson’s but this has a slightly runnier consistency, which makes it easier to apply. Smell:

The verdict: Fake tan

This is something I missed out on my review of Johnson’s Holiday Skin because, while I like it as fake tan, as a moisturiser, it’s not very good. I did notice that Garnier Summer Body left my legs feeling very smooth and silky, though, so top marks for that. Garnier is the ultimate high-street gradual tanner thanks to its non-greasy finish and inoffensive chamomile and apricot scent. Not only does it build up a natural tan, it’s a decent body cream too, so you can treat it as you would your usual one. That means you won’t notice a difference to your daily routine, except for the subtle glow that will build up over time – and the fact that you’ll need to wash your hands after each application. Keep up the exfoliation twice a week and it’ll stay even and perfectly passable. Just remember that gradual tanning tends to be slower on bodies than faces – so if you want to build up a glow for a special event, you might need to start applying it earlier than you think. A: Yes, Garnier Summer Body is suitable for fair skin tones. Start with a light application and gradually build up the color to achieve a natural-looking tan. How long your tan lasts for depends on a few factors, but expect an even layer of colour to stay put for five days to a week. Fruity. There’s no denying, Garnier Summer Body smells a helluva lot nicer than most fake tans, which tend to have that slight smell of feet about them. This one doesn’t, but the smell is pretty strong, and, although it’s pleasant, you may grow to hate it if you’re using it every day. Applying Garnier Summer Body:

I could not find it easily over here in NYC???Why we love it: This luxurious self-tan product is perfect for delivering a streak-free result that enhances the natural look of your skin. It's also filled to the brim with skincare ingredients that help blur the appearance of scars and discolouration. Of course, as is the case with most skincare products, it's advised to first do a patch test before fully committing to a fake tan. But generally, fake tans tend to be suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skins.
