Now we have come to the main highlight of the KS2, its bass. The bass is the main focus of the earphone and it has a very rumbly bass due to its strong midbass impact. Bass is particularly enjoyable on these unit though it doesn't have a very deep extension. It has a rounder bass tuning than I am used to, but I really love that on sub bass hits! It will serve me well for electronic music. At this price, it's great! I didn’t find any driver flex for myself (but YMMV once more as this is somewhat dependent on ear anatomy and types of ear tips used). The tips are a big surprise. They’re fairly comfortable for my ears, and the sizes provided seal nicely. I found them more comfortable for short listening sessions than the Spinfit cp145’s and they sound better too. Contrast this with what’s included with the BL-03 and it’s a revelation. The BL-03 has completely unusable tips that do not seal well. You’re getting a lot of value with this iem with just the included and very useable tips.

The overall sound output is slightly U shaped with excellent bass extension and smooth yet detailed treble. The mids are placed forward with nice engaging vocals. They are quite energetic in sound output. There is a slight hint of sibilance which is like genre specific especially female vocals but not troublesome or fatiguing. In fact this is one of the best non fatiguing earphones I have tested.Soundstage here is rather wide, but it's still mostly feels within your headspace. It does not reach too far wide out. The KS2 doesn't feel particularly valuable, even the gold-plated sound openings don't help. Apart from these, the KS2 is completely made of plastic, but it has quite good ergonomics, even though there are more comfortable designs. Listening to Earth Wind Fire's "September" on these is fun; the bass really shines through in this song and sounds particularly groovy due to that fast bass and forward bass presence. Every note from the bass guitar is clear and fast which adds to the groove.

Bass: The bass has good impact, depth and rumble. At times, I feel that it tends to over power the mid and high frequencies occasionally. If you are a bass head lover on a tight budget, you can must definitely try this out. Treble are smooth it does have some sparkle but the lower treble seems to be a bit dull to be fair this is probably the weak point of the stellar but at this price this is probably negligible for the sound signature it gives. I think this is where these IEMs shine. The KS2s have a pretty good bass response, especially in the sub-bass. The mid-bass is also pretty impactful but occasionally gets a little messy. Imaging Average, and possibly even something less. Too often I hear instrument and voices tending to position towards the center of the stage instead of being more properly distributed around it.Vocals and mids are probably my favourite part about this earbud. Female vocals are more forward than male ones, without being overly harsh. By and large it is very smooth and non fatiguing for me at moderate volumes. Details in the mids are actually quite good when amped, was surprised in this aspect. The KS2 has an almost outrageous V-signature, but it's really fun and the mid-range is not neglected.

Soundstage Quite average – read: not as extended as one normally expects from earbuds, but not narrow nonetheless Treble head like me loves me some good high and it does not disappoint me and has some good energy/sounds lively. It has good amount of details and clarity but on certain instrument like guitars and horn instruments are not what I'm used to . The timbre or tone of these especially in the lower treble comes with shrillness and the instrument sounds bit sharp or thin especially guitar.

I did not get any 3D imaging from these earphones, mostly just sounds from either the left or right earphones. Bass – Lots of bass without muddying the sound. Punchy and mid-bass dominant. There is, surprisingly, sub-bass. But don’t expect a rumble. It’s audible and that in itself is a huge compliment for earbuds. It stays fairly controlled, tight and is very engaging. It is also way more textured than my other buds. I’d take this over my other flathead buds (not semi in-ear) if we’re talking about bass. In general, however, the high frequencies are heard decently and, despite the confusion, they allow a pleasant and relaxing listening of most musical genres.

As an avid retro gamer, I think these are a solid choice for a Nintendo Switch, 3DS, Vita, PSP & PS4/PS5 controller. The V shaped tuning with sub bass emphasis is a lot of fun in action games. TREBLES: Although there are no particular hisses or excesses generated by the balanced armature in the output nozzle, the highs are a bit confused and poorly controlled, especially in the frequencies between 4k and 8k there is a lot of confusion. That’s one more reason why drummers will not love this headset: the charlestones are a bit of a slap and the bass drums do not explode as they should (don't try listening to Dream Theater, you will cry). I’ll admit—V-shaped headphones are probably my favorite. I enjoy elevated bass and detailed treble; those things make listening fun. There’s certainly a time and place for hearing things as the producer intended, but when you’re buying any headphone with a sound profile like the KS2, you know that you’re not going to be getting that. Reasons I love ear is for the openess and soundstage as well as being aware of my surroundings.

It isn't heavily sub-bass focused for a dramatic (theatrical) thunderous rumble but the vast amount of warmth here is a guilty pleasure to me. Let's put aside these technical terms on being one-note or being boomy aside. I have a soft spot for these ear buds not only because of the price, but also because the KS1's bass tuning is absolutely perfect for listening to lofi livestreams on youtube. The KS1's sound signature remains easy on the ears with bass that is pure ear massage. This unit has been provided by the HIFIGO team as I’m being part of the HIFIGO review circle.
