About this deal

The Switch has become home to a vast array of horror titles over its relatively short life, including multiple entries from big-hitters such as Resident Evil to the likes of Layers of Fear and Outlast. It is in this crowded landscape that Aksys Games’ NG has been brought over to the west, under the title Spirit Hunter: NG. The previous outing in the Spirit Hunter series, Death Mark, was well received. Should the competition be a little scared? The Best Trip Ever: Each tourist will have a chance to love your Island so much that they’ll decide to stay, adding to the Town’s population. This part is crucial since you can hire them to do various things for you, such as tending to your shops and helping you maintain the Island. So do your best to make their trip a fantastic one! But how do you please them all, and what do you sell in your stores? That’s where your skills will come in handy! The Spiritfarer® Farewell Edition** is the definitive edition of the award-winning cozy management game about dying. It brings together the base game beloved by over 1 million players, and all the additional content released to date. See why critics called Spiritfarer one of the Best Games of 2020.

Spirit and the Mouse review – for the mice and myself The Spirit and the Mouse review – for the mice and myself

Vast Tropical Archipelago: Spirit of the Island features 14 unique explorable islands, each with its own fauna, secrets, and dangers. Information on who – or what – inhabits these islands has been lost to history, but you will find mysterious caves guarded by ancient creatures — are you brave enough to explore them and uncover the mysteries within? It’s a thrilling and adventurous life in the country. Ride across the five different regions around Miradero, discovering items to collect, hidden paths, and animals – both friendly and dangerous. Help the townsfolk by taking on jobs like express deliveries and animal rescues. Use your camera to capture the beauty of the landscape, and ride Spirit to victory in exciting horse races. You play Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife. Farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook, and craft your way across mystical seas. Join the adventure as Daffodil the cat, in two-player cooperative play. Spend relaxing quality time with your spirit passengers, create lasting memories, and, ultimately, learn how to say goodbye to your cherished friends. Includes the heartwarming base game and three major content updates: explore an expanded world and befriend four new spirit friends! The Local Community: The Archipelago is bustling with life! Meet more than 14 unique characters, each with its own distinct traits and quirks. And yes, there are romance options as well! Visual (10/10): I'm a big fan of 2D graphics and it's really fantastic here. Great colorful scenes with day-night changes, big smooth world and great art for heroes. I also like the fact how on scenes were combined different colors, so its not one big spot of rainbow, my eyes were relaxing while watching the graphics, thank you designers! Spiritfarer is soulless bilge posing to be "wholesome" or "spiritual". Unlikable characters. For a relaxed game, controls feel so janky, too. Characters are so obnoxious. They all seem to be happy about their odd lives, even though there's nothing human (they look like animals i kno) about them. Highlar I hope the review makes it clear that I do recommend the game itself, I hugely enjoyed it. But I felt it that I could not recommend the Switch version specifically if people can play it another way.

The horse animation in the trailer is perhaps not mind-blowing, but neither does it get anything flat out wrong. That we can see Spirit being visibly dirty in one shot (at 0:13s) gives me a bit of hope that the grooming mechanics are handled better than what games like the My Riding Stables series have provided in recent years. But it has bugs and one of them is that the text sometimes does not fit on the screen (goes out of bounds) because the game forgets the screen is 540p and not higher. These stealth sections felt completely out of place, but hey, I’ll take anything to spice the gameplay up a bit.

Spirit Hunter: NG itself is a really great game steeped in the traditions of Japanese horror, with a creepy plot and likeable and intriguing characters. It is dark and brutal, yet never needlessly so, and the horror always plays out in the context of infusing its antagonists with real depth and relatability. I consider it another plus point that publisher Outright Games is a relatively recently established company, unlike multiple German games publishers who dabble in horse games and have simply been producing the same mediocre crap for two decades. That the development is in the hands of an otherwise independent studio instead of a pure work-for-hire company speaks for the project’s potential as well. The Power Of Two: One of the main features of Spirit of the Island is a 2-player cooperative mode, where you can do… everything together! Build a farm, grow crops and make delicious dishes, build a store and sell your produce to tourists, explore the vast Archipelago to find treasure, and discover the secrets of the tropical paradise! So invite your friend and start your coop journey right now! One of the main features of Spirit of the Island is a 2-player cooperative mode, where you can do… everything together! Play as Stella, ferrymaster to the deceased, a Spiritfarer. Build a boat to explore the world, then befriend and care for spirits before finally releasing them into the afterlife.PID Games, META Publishing and 1M Bits Horde have confirmed a release date for Spirit of the Island on Nintendo Switch. Spirit of the North is a single-player 3rd-person adventure game inspired by the breathtaking and mysterious landscapes of Iceland.
