About this deal

When I first put the oil in my mouth it was clear. When I spit it out, it was yellow, which made me feel validated that the process actually did help to rid my mouth of the bacteria that the toothbrush can’t fight. After I finished oil pulling, I noticed that I didn’t feel as much plaque on my teeth. It doesn’t have a bad taste or smell at all. It actually has a minty taste to it thanks to the peppermint oil. The Guru Nanda oil also comes with a tongue scraper as well due to it being recommended to scrape your tongue after you finish oil pulling.

Always consult a physician or certified Aromatherapist before using any type of essential oil during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Studies suggest that oil pulling may have many benefits. It may help reduce bad breath, cavities and tooth decay, plaque and tartar build-up, and even inflammation in the mouth. Many people I know who suffer from dry mouth tell me that oil pulling helps increase salivary secretion for them as well, and others have even told me about teeth-whitening benefits. If you would like an all-natural alternative to mouthwash, oil pulling could be a great practice for you. Cats are very sensitive and I have to be very careful in recommending so you have to consult your vet for that- but I would say tea tree, oregano, thyme, wintergreen- absolutely not!Step 3: Gently swish the oil in between your teeth for at least 2 minutes. Try to work up to 10 minutes per use. Reveal your most dazzling smile naturally with GuruNanda Natural Mouthwash! This Ayurveda-inspired formula is a safe and natural alternative to synthetic chemical mouthwash. It contains only the highest-quality natural ingredients: fractionated coconut oil, peppermint oil, spearmint oil, clove, tea tree oil, cardamom oil, oregano oil, fennel oil, vitamin E, vitamin D, stevia, and vitamin K2. Simply swish in your mouth for up to 10 minutes daily for fresher breath, happier gums, a brighter smile, and a more balanced oral microbiome. Spit oil into the trash can after use, not the drain. Oil pulling involves swishing a tablespoon of oil, usually coconut, in your mouth. It is said to be a powerful detoxifying treatment that helps rid the body of harmful bacteria and toxins and improve oral health. Oil pulling works by breaking down the biofilms that house bad oral bacteria and toxins from your teeth, gums, and even your tongue. If you don’t break down these biofilms, they become plaque and tartar. So oil pulling is incredibly preventative. When using an essential oil topically, carrier oils allow us to sufficiently dilute essential oils for their safe therapeutic use. Because essential oils are highly concentrated, powerful, and quite aromatic, it is best to mix a small quantity with a plant based oil, like our Sweet Almond or Fractionated Coconut Oil. This reduces the risk of adverse skin reactions and allows the essential oil to be more evenly distributed throughout the skin. Fill the base with water a little below the max fill line, then test the diffuser. If the diffuser is not properly dispersing mist, remove a little water and re-test. Continue this step until the diffuser is working properly.

We’ve all heard about it, but how many of you have actually tried oil pulling? I’ve done it a few times, but I haven’t been able to keep it up daily, despite really wanting to. I recently came across these GuruNanda single servings of mixed oils that make it easier to do each day, so, I am hoping to give this another whirl to really monitor the benefits now that half of the work has been done for me. Time to step up my oil pulling game in hopes to rid my body of the toxins that accumulate in me each day! Among all the many “ifs” in my life, “if I’d found oil pulling earlier” easily hits the top three given the benefits it’s shown my body and overall health. I first discovered oil pulling at least a decade ago from a friend who lives in Arizona and was knowledgeable in a variety of naturopathic remedies. Oil pulling was merely a side note in a conversation we had one day; one that I immediately Googled when I hung up the phone. I found the whole idea fascinating. It wasn’t a week later I had myself hooked up with cold-pressed, unrefined sunflower oil from PPC and had dived right in. Did you know you can do more than brush your teeth, floss and use mouthwash to maintain good dental hygiene? I didn’t either. An ancient practice called oil pulling is also beneficial. According to Healthline, oil pulling is an ancient Indian folk practice that helps to freshen your breath and whiten your teeth, but there’s more to it than that.To be more specific with the improvements: My gum line is still inflamed, but the shade of red has reduced significantly. The first day, I only used the product for two minutes before spitting, then five minutes the following day, and then ten minutes every day afterward. I began using this exactly one week ago, so the fact that the inflammation is already going down has been a pleasant surprise. Not only that, but little areas of my gums are beginning to slowly re-connect with my teeth. I can tell it’s a slow process that will take time, but I’m just pleased to see a process happening at all. My breath also no longer smells, something I have always been self-conscious about. If I had one con, it's that my teeth haven't gotten whiter in any way. Whether this changes, who knows, but I didn't buy it for that purpose (there are great teeth whitening pens for that).
