About this deal

It’s also easy to take the end apart when you want to clean it, so if the ink does dry in the nib, it’s just a case of taking it apart and washing it out. This should prevent any issues from disrupting your flow of writing. A Robust Nib Kaweco Sport Nib If you find that a lot of pens slip when you’re holding them and you have to pinch them hard to grip them properly, you will like the Kaweco Sport fountain pen. It is quite slim and narrow, which may make it challenging for some – but the threading on the cap makes it a lot easier to hold. The rest of the barrel is smooth plastic. Portability Kaweco Sport With the Cap on Franz: May I just skip this part? Kidding, kidding! Okay, so I took both the AL, and the Skyline Sport on a test drive. I wrote with both of them posted for about 10 minutes each. Please understand that this Sport is a little too short unposted for my bear paw to write more than 5 words so I just kept the cap posted as I wrote on my journal. Because of the narrow 9.4mm section, my hand cramped up and I noticed my hand gripping the pen tighter than usual. The Skyline Sport is a very light pen and I didn’t enjoy writing with it. The AL Sport however, has a nice weight to it and my hand was a little bit more comfortable. The length of the Sport when posted was fairly comfortable for me.

Katherine: This pen makes it obvious how much smaller my hands are. I can and do use my Kawecos unposted, both my plastic Sport (which was my only work pen for about six months) and my AL. I prefer the plastic Sport when posted though — it gives the pen a little more heft and makes it more comfortable to hold. But, my tiny hands prefer the Sport AL unposted— it feels more balanced to me. All in all, both are very usable for me, both posted and unposted. I don’t own a Sport in Brass, but I’ve tried one and found that it was usable, but heavy and my hand felt the fatigue (especially if it was posted and top heavy) after a bit of writing — usable, but I wouldn’t buy one.Questa è una penna molto piccola (10,5cm chiusa), leggerissima (10g), nata per un uso quotidiano, da tenere senza paura nello zaino o nel cassetto dell'ufficio, da portarsi a scuola oppure in tasca; The body is complemented nicely by the gold plating, while the buttery smooth steel nib is also plated in gold. The cap features Kaweco's signature logo on top and 'Kaweco EBONIT Sport is engraved to it.

When it comes to choosing a fountain pen, doing a good amount of research is a critical aspect of getting a pen that you love. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to pens, so we’re going to run through a Kaweco Sport fountain pen review today. Made from solid lead-free 'eco' brass, which is left untreated and uncoated, it weighs in at 44g which is more than most other pens currently available. The untreated finish means this pen will - like the Al-Sport Raw that came before it - wear over time and develop a unique patina depending on use and storage conditions. The finish can either be left to develop or can be restored using brass polish and a liberal application of elbow grease. Attraverso vicende alterne si ripropone sul mercato delle stilografiche con questa penna entry-level dal design moderno ma allo stesso tempo classico. The AL Sport is made of aluminum, a sturdy metal that is lighter than metals like brass or steel. Most AL Sports have matte, anodized finishes that won’t chip or flake, but they can still be gouged by other objects like house keys. It’s worth noting that the nibs of these pens have a bit of flex in them, which could be counted as a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. If you prefer a stiffer nib, you will probably find that the Kaweco Sport pen isn’t particularly well suited to your writing style, bu t if you like just a little flex in the nib, it should work well for you.

There are a few issues that you might run into with the Kaweco Sport, and perhaps the biggest is that the barrel tends to be made of plastic. This does make it light and comfortable to hold, but it’s not as strong as a steel barrel, and if you drop the pen, there’s a risk that it could break. Kaweco Sport BodyClaire: The section of this pen is just a little bit narrow for my taste. As such this is never going to be the pen I reach for to take notes in class. Narrow sections are especially uncomfortable for me thanks to an old fracture in one of my fingers so your mileage may vary. That being said, this is a pen I thoroughly enjoy; another one may be heading my way as soon as the stainless steel version becomes available. Non occorre fare pressione e, anche quando, alla prova, non ho riscontrato sostanziali variazioni del tratto, quindi non lo forzerei.

Katherine: I love small pens and faceted pens… so the Kaweco Sport is right down my alley. I also love bright colors… so it’s taken quite a bit of self-control to not collect a rainbow of these. Grumble pen limit grumble. Anyway, I really enjoy the design of this pen — a little quirky, but not too weird. Unique and functional! And if you prefer clips, you can add a clip — they come in both silver and gold. The third generation of Kaweco Art Sport was released in 2018. The pens in this collection had names that described their colours. This edition comprised eleven different colours (some of them were available both with CT or GT: Dark Blue, Coral Red, Marble Green & Yellow, Marble Red, Metallic Green, Milk & Coffee, Perlmutt Orange, Metallic Turquoise, Real Blue, Tiger Eye and Violet. You can see below how the Kaweco Sport compares to other pens. It’s slightly larger than the Fisher Space Pen Bullet. However, when I write with the Kaweco Sport it doesn’t feel like a small pen, whereas the Space pen does feel small. Kaweco Sport’s size compared to other popular pens The Kaweco Sport fountain pen has some major benefits that you will want to take into consideration when choosing – as well as a few things that you may find you don’t like so much. Let’s start by exploring the benefits, which include:

years is a long time but they've done it, Kaweco has literally been writing history now since 1883. It started with a simple concept: create writing instruments with passion and love to be loved for a lifetime. Their excellent writing quality helps too of course but Kaweco is a mainstay in the pen world and any pen fan worth their salt could take one look at their pens and say 'that's a Kaweco'. Iconic.
