Getting connected: Dual-WAN vs Link Aggregation | Dual-band vs Tri-band vs Quad-band | Fiber-optic vs Cable | Getting your home wired | Multi-Gig explained | Cable modem activation | Routers explained | Mesh explained Yes, Martin, the 5GHz-2 is the only Wi-Fi 6 band. With AiMesh 2.0, you have an “easy” option of making this band NOT dedicated and you might have chosen that. That means you will only get 1/2 bandwidth of that bad at most due to signal loss. In most cases though, that doesn’t affect anything since you’re using a 2×2 device and the router is 4×4. I wouldn’t worry about it. Reply

That might work better than the previous one, or you can use the CT8, as a system, in the AP mode on top of the AX92U— this will definitely work well, but you can’t manage the CT8 via the AX92’s interface. Reply Perhaps this is some regulatory issue in Canada? I.e. 5 Ghz @ 160 MHz bandwith is not allowed? I wonder if I should try an American firmware version for this. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Hello Dong. Resurrecting this subject. This router is probably best on flat surface with antennas up. However, for the wall mount, it seems like it will be best to have them folded, so two form horizontal doughnut and other two -vertical? Thanks! Reply If the Primary Broadband fails , will it automatically utilize the full potential of the 4G Sim MobileData. Has ASUS made any changes to the way Guest SSID’s work? Previously I recall they only had the Guest SSID broadcasting from the main unit and not the mesh unit. Has that improved in AiMesh 2.0? ReplyThe RT-AX92U shares the same web interface as other Asus routers and has the same set of network settings and features. I can’t figure out why my WiFi 6 enabled laptop isn’t showing the speed and signal strength as 1.2gbps same as my WiFi 6 enabled phone when they are both connected to the WiFi 6 band at the same place in the room. Would you have any ideas? The free router edition supports one selectable device on your network at a time with GPN traffic limits, and includes wtfast® technical support.

Many people use wireless earbuds nowadays, and for good reason: they’re small and light, comfortable to wear, and easy to take with you everywhere you go. They also tend to provide good battery life because their charging case recharges them... ASUS ExpertWiFi EBR63 review: The mid-range router for SMBs! This was right at my wired PC with everything connected, eveything being the cable modem, the 2 DGL-4500’s, and a Netgear 8-port unmanned switch.

You can enjoy the technology from the future now and still connect it with the latest 802.11ax devices when they come out in the near future. If you read any of those thoroughly you’ll see how silly the stuff you did. Do yourself a favor and *READ* them all, you need that. Reply I tested the RT-AX92U first as a standalone router and then as a wireless AiMesh system. A year ago, the router proved to be a bit of a rough ride. This second time around, with the latest firmware, things were much better. Fast but still no 2.4Gbps Wi-Fi 6 connection I’ve currently got a Linksys EA9500 that covers the majority of my 5k SqFt home due to the central location that the router is located (there are a few dead spots, but I can mostly live with these). I think I made you confused by my original post. The actual question I want to ask is if there is any good to add my old Rt-ac3100 to my 2 rt-ax92u mesh? or the ac3100 will make the aimesh unstable since it is dual-band Reply
