Should You Buy the Bluefin Cruise Carbon?
In the Bluefin Cruise Carbon (in contrast to the normal Bluefin Cruise), the US fin box system is used for the center fin. The fin is screwed to the fin box with a threaded plate and a smaller screw. With a little practice, the assembly takes about 45 seconds. Update: What is the difference between the Bluefin Cruise Carbon 2023 and the Bluefin Cruise Carbon 2021? Before we go into the review, I want to let you know that there are 3 different sizes of the Bluefin Cruise Carbon. Although here I’m talking mostly about the 10’8, the features are the same for all three, and the only difference is the length which, of course, changes the way you perceive and use the board. Throughout this text, you will also see pictures of all three, so you have a better understanding of what you’re getting. The material construction of the Bluefin Cruise Tandem is called “Double-Layer-Dropstitch”. This means that the outer shell is made of 2 laminated layers of PVC (Double-Layer). The rails (sides) are also made of 2 layers, so they are robust against possible damage and support the stiffness of the board. When on the water I thought the paddle flexed quite a lot, so if you’re a powerful paddler, you might want to upgrade to a stiffer paddle.
This is the best paddleboarding experience I have had so far, and it is hard to imagine that something better will come along soon, especially for a price in this range. None of it disappoints, and there is so much included that you really never need anything again to keep paddle boarding. ( Unless you break stuff, but I generally only do that only with computers;)).

The Bluefin Cruise Carbon is made of several PVC layers using the so-called dropstitch process. This production process makes for particularly stiff boards. The shells of the Bluefin boards are extremely stable and can withstand even an air pressure of 28 PSI. At the pressure of almost 2 bar, most paddle boarding other brands go out of joint long ago. This of course changes if you want to get into SUP surfing, then you’ll want a board that is small and very manoeuvrable, which means it won’t glide at all well. The elongated design provides more directional stability, which improves straight-line riding. The board deviates less from the direction of travel, so that the paddle side has to be changed less often.
