Another big consideration is when Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania will come out on Disney Plus with expectations for it to be before the standard home media options. If the gap between this and its debut in theaters is too short then the value proposition breaks down, so there needs to be a decent gap for the UK Blu-ray, digital and DVD release date. RELATED: All in the Family – Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michelle Pfeiffer discuss the complex layers and secrets – yet incredibly strong bond of this heroic family. Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania arrives on Digital on April 18 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD May 16. Fans can add the film to their collection and access exclusive bonus content including deleted scenes, a gag reel, and audio commentary by director Peyton Reed and writer Jeff Loveness. Much like his fellow Marvel cohorts Joe and Anthony Russo, Reed started off in the comedy worlds of TV and movies, making his feature directorial debut with cheerleading comedy Bring It On. Movies such as Down with Love, The Break-Up and Yes Man followed.

If you’re looking to add the film to your DVD, Blu-ray or digital collection for Ant-Man or the MCU you can find out more about the release date below. It may have divided fans, with the BBC Culture review describing it as the “worst Marvel film yet”, but it’s hard to argue with it’s potential impact on the next two phases of the cinematic universe. Loveness is known for his comedy work, having gotten his start writing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! On top of several seasons’ worth of the late-night show, he also worked on the Oscars, the Emmys and the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He wrote on TBS’ Daniel Radcliffe-starring series Miracle Workers. Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope's parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott's daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible. It’s counter-programming week in movie theaters, with four new wide releases trying to lure audiences that aren’t into (or have already seen) The Super Mario Bros. Movie or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, with the goal of earning some money before Fast X steamrollers the competition next weekend. Book Club: The Next Chapter is the film most likely to come out on top among the new releases, but a third-place finish is the best-case scenario for the romantic comedy. No release details have been confirmed but sources say the plan is to shoot at the end of 2020 or top of 2021 for a likely release in 2022. Sources say that sequels Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder will shoot before Ant-Man 3.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is headed for the worst 2nd-weekend decline for a movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but will still cling on to top spot at the box office, according to the studios’ Sunday-morning projections. Cocaine Bear and Jesus Revolution feel more like the real winners of the weekend though, with both films turning in excellent performances. Here, he had to introduce the MCU’s next big bad, Kang the Conqueror, who will go on to feature in later films like Avengers the Kang Dynasty. To do this he needed to take things away from the San Francisco home of the series and shrink it all down to the craziness of the Quantum Realm.
