About this deal

Foam cleansers are known to be the go-to option for people with oily skin, however, Korean foam cleansers are suitable for most skin types. With the inclusion of ingredients such as egg extract, aloe vera, green tea, and even snail mucin, even those with super sensitive skin can find an option suitable for them. Instead, the selection of ingredients is careful and moderated, using only those that help cleanse and hydrate whilst simulatenously soothing and calming. Just two pumps from the generously sized bottle is enough for my whole face in the AM and PM. However, I took to “slugging” my skin with this layerable moisturizer on nights when my skin was feeling particularly dry or irritated. Bumping the application amount to 4+ pumps allowed me to really slather my skin in the stuff (good thing the bottle is so big!) and allow it to absorb for about 15 minutes before heading to bed. When it comes to skincare, sometimes less is more. Those with sensitive skin may prefer minimal ingredient products An easy-to-formulate, commonly used, nice to have ingredient that’s also called pro-vitamin B5. It also contains lauric acid, an ingredient with anti-microbial properties that can be effective against inflammatory acne. Once rinsed, my skin is always left feeling soft, refreshed, and thoroughly cleansed. All without dryness or stripping (if anything, I did notice a very slight reduction of redness on days when my skin was feeling overworked). Most of the cleansers I use these days have a pH of around 5.5, so I was worried initially that this cleanser (while geared towards sensitive skin) may be too harsh for me. But, Soon Jung never lies (haha) and I had no issue with this one.Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients. Looking for a Korean cleanser that’s suitable for your sensitive skin which doesn’t make your acne worse? We selected our 5 favorite Korean cleansers which are very gentle on the skin, don’t clog any pores, and don’t give you that eerie tight feeling afterward. In the 10 step Korean skincare routinewe cleanse twice, the first time with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and accumulated dirt. The second time we cleanse we use a gel or foam based cleanser to thoroughly clean our skin. In this blog post, we’ll talk about cleansers which are used in the second step. We focus on the second step since not everyone wears makeup or does an oil cleanse first (for eg guys). If you are looking for some oil cleanser suggestions for acne-prone skin drop us a comment below! If you are into chemistry (if not, we understand, just skip this paragraph), the reason is that electrolytes (you know, the Na+ and Cl- ions) screen the electrostatic repulsion between the head groups of ionic surfactants and thus support the formation of long shaped micelles (instead of spherical ones) that entangle like spaghetti, and viola, a gel is formed. However, too much of it causes the phenomenon called "salting out", and the surfactant solution goes runny again.

In a unique twist, it’s a plant-based cleanser that contains extracts from 7 florals: jasmine, rose, lotus, edelweiss, lily, daffodil, and freesia. I found citric acid (an AHA) to be an interesting ingredient, but the wash is still mild enough for daily use (or twice a day). It can make them ideal for more demanding cleaning jobs, such as removing stubborn dirt and grime. Additionally, whip cleaners often offer a more thorough cleanse than foam cleaners. This emulsion was one of the very first moisturizers I used when diving into the world of K-Beauty. I remember loving the simplistic formulation that once again focuses on hydration and skin support.
