About this deal

Along with retinoids, peptides are ingredients I look out for in my skincare, which is why I was intrigued to go along to a secret briefing by No7 a couple of months ago (the peptide-containing subject of which has just gone on sale this week – more of that in a moment). The No7 Future Renew damage reversal serum claims to reverse visible signs of skin damage in four weeks, including the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, dry skin, and less elastic and firm-feeling skin. In research conducted by No7, users of the day and night creams reported results of more supple, healthier, brighter skin in just one week. What does this mean for our skin, in layman's terms? Healthier looking, more even, more glowing, smoother looking skin. Oh, and like I said, it can be tolerated by even the most sensitive of skin types. Does No7 Future Renew actually work?

No7 Future Renew Serum is proven to reverse visible signs of skin damage in just four weeks. Visible signs of skin damage include the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, dry skin, and less elastic and firm feeling skin. It contains No7’s new super peptide blend, as well as niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, mulberry and hydrolysed rice proteins. As I say, it’s only been a week but that’s when No7's testers saw first results. Right now my undereyes look… quite good, I guess? A bit smoother, I’d say. And my skin does generally feel softer and a bit more bouncy. Whether that’s a hydration thing at this stage, or an early super-peptide bonus I can’t really comment but I’ll take it either way. Protect & Perfect, you may well have competition in my affections.Well, at a basic level, peptides act as signallers, sending messages to your skin cells to act on something—make more collagen or boost elastin production. The idea is that peptides encourage the skin to repair itself after damage has negatively affected it in terms of reduced collagen and elastin formation. No7 Future Renew and its super-peptide blend have been developed following 15 years of research and innovation using scientific methods and approaches that are more akin to medical research and rarely seen in cosmetic product development. The new peptide blend was developed using cutting edge British R&D across several fields of science and technology including advanced robotics, mathematical modelling, bioinformatics, machine learning, cell biology and cosmetic science.

And experts are on board, too. Dr Emma Wedgeworth, consultant dermatologist, says, “I’m incredibly excited that No7 have discovered a new super-peptide blend that harnesses the skin’s natural repair process. No7 Future Renew is a breakthrough range that can help reverse visible signs of skin damage." Although this new peptide technology is very exciting, it's not to say that the products themselves, complete with filler ingredients and everything else that make up a cosmetics product, can harness the same results the technology shows in vitro. In addition to No7's super peptide blend, the eye serum also contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C, an antioxidant blend and rice proteins. In one week, the appearance of fine lines is reduced, and after four weeks, the appearance of wrinkles and puffiness is reduced, and skin tone looks more even. Said to rival retinol products while being one of the ‘most effective and tolerated’ ingredients, patent applications have been submitted and are pending for both the new peptides and the delivery system found within the serum. If granted, it will be a ‘world-first technology’ not seen in any other products. After three months of testing, I can firmly say that yes it does. First of all, let's look at the science put into proving the claims. The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate than elsewhere on the face, meaning it is more susceptible to damage. Expertly developed for the delicate eye area, No7 Future Renew Eye Serum reverses visible signs of skin damage in 8 weeks. No7, the UK’s number one skincare brand [1], today announces the launch of No7 Future Renew; a collection of four skincare products proven to reverse the appearance of multiple signs of skin damage. The range contains a new ‘super peptide’ blend and supports the skin’s natural repair process. The super peptide blend – which represents the biggest cosmetic science innovation in No7’s history – contains two brand-new cosmetic chemical ingredients, a patent-pending world-first peptide technology that cannot be found in any other product.

The results? Brighter, healthier-looking, more supple skin after just one week.* FEATURES & BENEFITS No7’s new super peptide is set to be one of the most effective and tolerated skincare ingredients on the cosmetic market. Unlike retinoic acid, which is known by dermatologists to cause tolerance challenges such as skin sensitivity and redness, No7's new super peptide is both highly potent and highly tolerated, being suitable even for those with sensitive skin. This paves the way to highly effective skincare being available to even more people. Now, let's get into the overall appearance of my skin since using No7 Future Renew. While I was using Future Renew, it was the best my skin has looked in years. I had a natural glow that wasn't greasy or oily-looking in any way. I also stretched out the time I usually leave between Botox appointment by two months—I just didn't feel as though my face needed any thing else. In short, I love it. The company says the new skincare products contains two new chemical entities, a patent-pending 'world-first technology' that cannot be found in any other product. It is a culmination of 15 years of scientific research into skin ageing with the University of Manchester and led by No7’s team of scientists. The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate than elsewhere on the face, meaning it is more susceptible to damage. SHIELD SKIN FROM UV: Formulated with SPF40 to help protect skin from future damage caused by UV light.

My favourite product? The night cream is the one that has won my heart. I'm not sure I ever want to be without it. It's lightweight but nourishing, and leaves my skin looking like it's had a full 8 hours come morning (even when it hasn't). My least favourite? Probably the day cream. Although I still adore it, the sun protection isn't broad-spectrum (meaning it doesn't contain any protection against UVA rays), and it's too much for my oily skin to use both the day cream and a broad-spectrum SPF on top. Having said that, I still scraped out the dregs until it was finished. What are the No7 Future Renew products and do they work?

Review after two months of use

No7 is responsible for some seriously huge skincare moments. Remember the feral frenzy after a BBC Horizon documentary praised Protect & Perfect serum’s anti-ageing powers? So when the brand announces its “biggest ever science innovation” in the form of a new range “proven to reverse” lines, wrinkles and sagging, you know exactly what’s going to happen.
