About this deal

While the strap ensures a high level of wearing comfort and allows quick access to be ready for the next scene.

You will not be able to use these with eyeglasses on, and even without you must push the non-adjustable eyecups (soft rubber) "into your eyes" to get a full view of the field of vision. Their durable construction in combination with a sure-grip rubber coating provide for long-lasting enjoyment. A wide field of view makes locating a bird quicker and easier, particularly when viewing over a wide area or tracking them as they fly. More importantly, the binocular offer instant UV protection to your eyes while bird watching and terrestrial viewing. I didn't do side by side comparison, but general impression to my eyes is roughly the same in binoculars I have tried: Olympus Trooper 10x50, Bushnell Legacy 10x50, Nikon Aculon 8x42, Nikon Action Extreme 7x35.High Performance at All TimesThese binoculars 8x40 have a high quality construction and give you a comfortable grip. More recently I have used otherwise identical binoculars of the same brand, and the BaK4 models still always present brighter images than the Bk7 models.

A knurled centre focus wheel and an elastic polymer HOUSING grip assist handling and give the viewer precise control of the optic, while fold-down eyecups provide comfortable use with or without eyewear. I was having a look at your binocular list and I noticed some serious wide angle models which are very interesting. This very fact combined with the 25 year warranty and 91% recommendation from the Sky at Night magazine makes these a fantastic purchase for beginners to astronomy. I was interested to see how they would work with the wide angle 8° FOV; I could see Hyades in Taurus very well framed and bright with the background stars in the group easily distinguishable. This problem is solved by the monolayer coating on the inside of the barrel, which reduces the sun’s glare and balances the colour contrast of the pictures.

This problem is solved by the monolayer coating on the inside of the barrel, which reduces the sun's glare and balances the colour contrast of the pictures. Your eyes are prone to harmful UV rays of the sun, especially while bird watching or terrestrial viewing. YES, I believe it does as it not only prevents moisture from getting inside the instrument, but will also obviously stop other small particles like dust entering and spoiling your view. The large objective lens means the images will be clear and bright, even at dusk and dawn when birds are often at their most active.

The product also comes with mono-layer coating inside the barrel, which decreases the sunlight and balances contrast of your pictures. Most good quality binoculars these days are fully sealed, but unless you plan to go out in the rain, does this really make a difference? The view starting to degrade from 50-60 percent out is par for the course for non premium binoculars. I think we naturally ignore out of focus images at the edges of our view anyway, and for visual observation it makes very little difference; astrophotograhy is a totally different ball game and out-of-focus pictures are very obvious.
