About this deal

Dangerous for the Aquatic Environment. Please read the product Safety Data Sheet for further information. When incorporated into a paint film, glass microspheres act as miniature Thermos-like bottles, providing a thermal barrier between cold surfaces and the warmer ambient temperature within a living space. As the air is insulated against the colder wall surface, condensation and mould growth is drastically reduced. Add to standard emulsion paint and mix thoroughly until an even colour is achieved. Apply mixed paint as per the paint manufacturer’s instructions. Add 60g to 5 litres or 120g to 10 litres of emulsion paint by stirring in (ideally with a mixing paddle on an electric drill) and apply by brush or roller to create a “mould hostile” decorative finish.

Install fans in bathrooms, leave windows open whenever possible, use an exhaust fan when cooking and run dehumidifiers to reduce indoor humidity. Spray existing green mould and moss with “ Kingfisher Bio Wash”, leave for 7 days to activate and then scrub or pressure wash to create a clean surface. Add 60 grams to 5 litres to 120 grams to 10 litres of Kingfisher “Weatherflex” paint or similar quality exterior coating by stirring in (ideally with a power paddle) and apply by brush or roller to create a tough “mould-hostile” decorative finish. Most customers buy “Anti Mould Additive” to add to an emulsion paint of their own colour choice. It can also be added to our “Kingfisher Weatherflex range of masonry paints in areas where green mould growth is prevalent on building exterior. Preparation & Application

Independent tests confirm that surfaces treated with Suretherm paint take twice as long to cool down when compared to ordinary emulsion paint. Condensation takes 57% longer to form on Suretherm coated surfaces compared to ordinary emulsion paint. If you are looking to paint over and redecorate walls and ceilings that have already been subject to mould and mildew, you will also require a good mould wash. While anti mould paints are perfect for preventing mould from developing on surfaces, painting over an already mould area will not solve the issue. Before you paint, you should ensure that a thorough and decent mould wash is completed to remove any exciting mould growth. Here at ACS Limited we always recommend cleaning and performing a mould wash before applying anti mould emulsion, or any other type of anti mould paint to the area. Should you have any questions about mould wash and mould wash products, be sure to get in touch with us today. The formula should be mixed thoroughly to ensure that the paint is completely protected. Since we used this over two years we have had no signs of mould appearing on the bathroom ceiling.Prior to re-painting using “Kingfisher Anti Mould Paint Additive” you should pre-treat the mould infected area with Kingfisher “ Mould Cure” to neutralise the existing spores and clean the surface.
