About this deal

The Cressi F1 is a great dive snorkel mask for those who want high quality without the high price tag. Despite being cheaper, you get a lot for your money with this mask, which is constructed of high-quality materials. The frame of the Cressi F1 Mask is made from a durable plastic that can withstand harsh conditions. The skirt and strap are made from soft silicone, which makes them more flexible and comfortable than other materials. The skirt of the mask is also designed to retain your ears in position when swimming underwater. Similar to the Superocchio, with a very traditional design, it has wider lenses, and in general is less compact than the more famous sister. Construction and compactness

I collect dive masks like some women collect purses. But, unlike swapping out a new bag for a new season, when I find a mask that fits well, and doesn’t flood or fog, it stays in pretty much permanent rotation. I’ve long been a fan of frameless masks, such as the Cressi Z1, my long-time go-to. So, when I received two new Cressi masks to review — one of which is also frameless — I was excited to try them. We’ll start with the A1. Unboxing the A1 Mask The pink frame and yellow lenses on this A1 mask make it eye catching above and below the water (photo by Chris Miskavitch) This dive mask is made from tempered glass, which gives it extra strength and durability. One of our divers has been using this mask every day for the last few months and the lens still looks as good as new, despite it being lugged around in their kit bag to around 50 dives. Both the A1 and the F-Dual look like solid contenders for trips to come, but I’m most excited to see what — if any — difference the yellow lenses make on the A1. Post-Trip Update While all elements of the Cressi Z1 and Cressi ZS1 are the same, the dimensions and weight evidently change. The Z1 has a 150 mm wide lens, while the height is 85 mm. The ZS1 has a max width of the lens equal to 145 mm and maximum height equal to 82 mm. The external maximum dimension of the Z1 is 97 mm, while the maximum width is 165 mm. The same measurements for the ZS1 are 158 mm and 93 mm. The weight of the Z1 is 200, a high value determined by the big monolens. The ZS1 weighs 185 grams. Special solutionsThis mask comes with a convenient carrying case so you can take it with you on your next diving trip. Design Cressi has not focused on frameless masks, as such solution generally has as a result more fog on the lenses. During the manufacturing phases, in fact, when the lenses are fused with the skirt and the internal chassis, the glass opens its pores and silicone enters. This determines fog formation and more difficulty in cleaning the lenses. For such reason the most advanced solutions by Cressi are with frame. Quantum Even though the focus by Cressi, as said, are not the frameless masks, the offer is complete with the monolens solutions. These utilize the monolens as chassis and fuse the skirt with it. We had presented in 2020 the Cressi F1 monolens mask solution. Here we present two other masks, the Cressi Z1 and the smaller version, the ZS1. Construction and compactness If you have a relatively simple prescription, then the Ceos is a great mask to help you out. Budget – The Cressi F1 Decent Diving Mask Budget – The Cressi F1 Decent Diving Mask Budget – The Cressi F1 Decent Diving Mask Budget – The Cressi F1 Decent Diving Mask Made with hypoallergic glossy silicone, both internally and externally, the Cressi Minima skirt is special due to the special overall design. The nose area is quite big, while of course the part below the lenses is large due to the latter being so narrow. The base of the nose internally has on the two sides a convex profile of the skirt to well position the nose and additionally reduce internal volume. The internal profile around the lenses shows a step generated by the frame. Rear strap and adjustment

If you need prescription lenses to see underwater and you have a fairly simple prescription then the Tusa Freedom Ceos is a lovely mask. Both lenses are the same shape, just rotated and the mask can be disassembled with very basic tools. Prescription – TUSA Freedom Ceos Prescription – TUSA Freedom Ceos Prescription – TUSA Freedom Ceos The mask itself is made from silicone, which makes it flexible and durable. It’s also got UV400 protection built in, so you can go diving without having to worry about getting sunburned on top of all that other stuff! The high quality, colourful, silicone skirt is bonded directly to the glass. This system keeps the mask construction incredibly simple and guarantees superb visibility in all directions, especially to the sides because it allows a maximum approach eye / glass without annoying pressures on the front or on the high part of the nose. The lens of this mask has been specially treated to make it resistant to scratches and corrosion. It is also coated with a synthetic hydrophobic film that repels water and helps keep fog away from your vision while you’re diving. Performance The Quantum is the ultimate revolution in the masks sector, the top of the line offer by Cressi. As 2022 novelty we have dedicated a whole x-rays article to such innovative product. ZeusIt does have silicone details to hold it in place but gone are the days of your hair getting tangled up in your mask strap. Large Noses – Zeagle Scope Mask Cressi F1 Mini Frameless - available with coloured or clear skirts, with a double layer of silicone forming an airtight, but comfortable seal. As its name suggests, the single lens is bonded to the mask skirt and is excellent value for money. Super low profile and is therefore easier to clear than other similar models yet provides a much wider field of vision too. And with the single window, it is easy to fold almost flat. As I mentioned before that, I have been using them for some time and I have to say, it’s my favorite mask ever. I took the A1 to Florida and—despite my initial skepticism—I did notneed to defog the mask with toothpaste or burn it, after a liberal coating with spit to prevent fogging, of course. The A1 fit well and did great out in the field, and I found the yellow lenses to function similar to polarized sunglasses—you don’t realize how cool things look with them on until you take them off.

If you’re on a budget but, you want a decent diving mask then the Cressi F1 is a great mask. Nothing overly fancy but, neither does it look or feel cheap. I have used this mask in all sorts of conditions from calm waters to rough seas, and it has never failed me. It stays on my face no matter how much movement there is, and it keeps water out of my eyes no matter how strong the current is. Skirts - the mask skirt isn’t just to colour co-ordinate your dive suit! It will impact the amount and quality of vision around you. A clear or transparent skirt allows more light to give you clearer all-round sight (like a panoramic sunroof!) Although the extra light can create reflections and could cause a distraction if you’re not used to it. But, if you suffer with claustrophobia or think you might feel hemmed in, this is one for you. Frameless, the scope has a relatively low internal volume with huge glass lenses for a wide field of view.

Cressi South East Asia Ltd.

Cressi F1 Mask is super comfortable, it doesn’t hurt your nose or feel like it’s pinching your skin. The silicone skirt is soft, too, so you don’t get that annoying pinch around your ears that can be so painful when you’re diving beneath the waves. Similar to the Quantum in terms of dimensions, the Cressi Zeusis an amazing product in terms of advanced solutions. Double lenses dismountable mask with frame, the Cressi Zeus has an incredibly smooth design. Cressi has been the first company on the market to design a mask where the skirt continues its profile with the frame. This not only determines an amazing look, but definitely has a more fluid-dynamic shape. The patented technology is the Dual Frame Technology. The Cressi Zeus had already been deeply presented in a dedicated x-rays & Super test article. Calibro The high quality silicone skirt is very flexible and soft and is incredbly comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. THis quality silicone means the mask seals really well on a variety of faces. The silicone skirt is assembled directly over the glass without the need of assembly. This system guarantees a good visibility in all directions, especially to the sides because it allows a maximum approach eye / glass without annoying pressures on the front or on the high part of the nose. The skirt is very polyvalent for all kinds of physiognomies and offers a great comfort even with much extended use. The design calculated of interior spaces combined with the calibrated skirt flexibility, variable depending on the area, provide a great mask’s stability with a great comfort and adaptation polyvalence.

The Cressi F1 scuba diving mask is designed to be sleek and lightweight, so it won’t get in the way of your dive. It’s got an easy-to-adjust frame, so you can adjust it to fit over your face without any trouble. It also has a wide field of vision so you can see everything around you while underwater. Build Quality Of Cressi F1 Mask The Fameless and Single Lens design of the Cressi F1 mask has some great features, but it does have a some need for special care. The Frameless feature means there is not plastic or metal frame holding the glass in place against the Silicone skirt. The Strength of this Mask is in the Glass. Therefore we feel you need to have a bit more care for this mask, as you could easily damage it if you don’t. The Cressi F1 Scuba Diving Mask is one of the most popular diving masks on the market. It is made with high-quality materials and it is designed to be comfortable and durable. I’m sure you’ll let me know what you think down in the comments but, lets dive straight into the first mask. Prescription – TUSA Freedom Ceos

Seven of The Best Scuba Masks for Smaller Faces

The Cressi Action mask has a very similar design to the Perla, but evidently adapted to the need of a frame complete with cam support. The weight increases from 160 grams to 190 grams, including the metal screw of the support. Differences with the Perla Using the same second nose seal as the Calibro mask, the Quantum has an extra section of silicone around your nose that help prevent warm, humid air from your nose flushing over the lenses when you clear your mask. It still equalizes a mask squeeze, but it helps prevent that moist air from fogging up your mask. Cressi Quantum mask Cressi Quantum mask Cressi Quantum mask I have tried other masks in the past but nothing compares to this one. It really does make my dives easier and more enjoyable than ever before. What I did not like about this mask The Cressi Nano has been in 2016 a great product showing excellent internal volume reduction and field of view. We measured these values and came to the conclusion they where the best on the market for a two lenses dismountable mask with frame. All details can be read on the x-ray & Super test article published. The monolens Z1 & ZS1
