Nah. I’m always cool. He said these words with neither a hint of hesitation nor irony. He deserved an award for being able to say that with a straight face.

Oversummoned, Overpowered, and Over It! Series - Goodreads

Having the most battle-ready ability made Date the favorite of the republic, because the greater the contribution of a hero to the fight against the demon king, the more rewards their country would receive from the Maccad Empire. Additionally, it was just always a good thing to have a powerful ally. In light of all this, it was only natural that they treated him so well.Listen—flat is justice. As soon as the words left my mouth, however, I felt like I’d shot myself in the foot. How pathetic was it for me to be the one saying that? Now, I have seen comments saying things like "you just don't likethat he's not a 'beta whimp' and can actually kill his enemies." Believe me, that is far from the problem. I have myfair share of merciless killer protagonists I love and I even love the cringey edgelords <3. The problem lies in how uncomfortable his behavior is. He'll suddenly be lording over people like a god (which I would normally think of as an enjoyable badass moment), but because he doesn't have any sort of personality or desires as a character, it's just like, "why should I care?" There's no catharsis from him finally releasing his powers or even rooting for him to win because there's literally nothing about him that is likable or even creates the illusion that he is, in fact, a character (There seemed to be some hope in the first chapter, but he just kept getting worse). He really is just a self-insert with no substance.

Also... As the knight commander rushed him, Date went on. Who said I’ve ever used my Divine Blessing? It’d been a week since we were summoned to be heroes, which meant it’d been a week since the three of us started our lives here together. Out of the three of us, I felt like Masayoshi Date stood out the most because his name meant justice in name alone, which I felt both did and didn’t match him. In my mind, he wasn’t nearly as much an ally of justice as he seemed to think he was. All the same, both Yuichi Tanaka and I had been saved by this guy. Really enjoyed the story until the end when the main character seemed to randomly become a psychotic homicidal maniac, majority of the story he seemed like a rational individual who is slightly recluse who was neutral but leaned more towards the hero side of things and then it was just, boom I'm gonna slaughter everyone And have no remorse for anyone. I think the author was attempting a twist but it was a twist that made no sense and I did not like it. But even in this situation, Date smiled fearlessly. I’d almost forgotten what kind of guy he was. Even if everyone was against him, he’d execute his form of justice.

The main character is a sociopath, and a Gary Stu, with no redeeming characteristics. The title says he's overpowered, so I guess I can forgive him being a gary stu, but the rest is just terrible. The bloodbath continues. The Kingdom of the Rising Sun is plunged into a waking nightmare as the layabout wretch himself lays waste to his old hosts. The halls will run red with blood and the walls will tell tale of gruesome slaughter before Inori finishes taking out the trash. There’s just one thing standing between him and absolute freedom—Aegiana Itze, captain of the knights. On her shoulders rests the burden of an entire nation, and ultimately, its fate falls to her. But that's not all - it keeps happening! Another fool summons me, and I am granted a new superpower, and off I go. It's understandable; sometimes you get isekai'd to the wrong place. Nonetheless, it keeps happening! Someone else summons me, I gain another power, and I'm transported to a completely new place. The cycle is never-ending.

Seijo-sama? Iie, Toorisugari no Mamonotsukai desu!: Zettai Muteki no Seijo wa Mofumofu to Tabi wo Suru AutoRec Upon closer inspection, it certainly did seem as though the girl was carrying an apple in her arms. Rising of the Shield Hero - I'm sure you've heard of it. Want an MC that has suffered™ and is an outcast? I unironically love this one.Hmph. I’m sure a rich boy like you wouldn’t understand, but apples are scarce here. Just one of ’em goes for a high price. Plus, this ain’t her first time. She’s stolen from us over and over. She’s gotta learn her lesson...and it’s gotta hurt." The other guy nodded, the carriage driver nodded, the guard nodded, Tanaka nodded, and so did I. The two guys might’ve had crappy attitudes, scary faces, and been vulgar barbarians...but they weren’t wrong. If anything, Date was in the wrong for protecting a demon girl. From what I’d heard, Tanaka’s Divine Blessing was aberrant. There were no records of his Divine Blessing in any other heroes, present and past. If there had been someone with a similar ability, that might have provided a clue as to how it worked. Also, it was typical for heroes to instinctively understand the nature of their Divine Blessing and how to use it. However, people with aberrant Divine Blessings would only receive that understanding in an epiphany at some undetermined time.

Okay, sure, you may have been twice as arrogant as usual, but that’s pretty much par for the course with you. EditSynopsis Name's Inori Takafuji. I'm not really much of a "go-getter," if you catch my drift—sleep's more my style—but getting summoned to another world kinda messed things up. Bit hard to chill when you've got a king in your face telling you there's a bad guy you've gotta go slay or whatever, you know? Plot twist, though—it's actually not so bad. Getting the hero treatment sounds pretty nice, right? Date looked right at me, then dropped his gaze. Heh. He snorted with laughter. Meanwhile, my patience was really wearing thin. Screw you, blondie! I was ready to kill a man. Done relieving yourself? Said your prayers, wise guy? You ready to beg for your life while cowering in the corner of this carriage? He's an edgy self-insert power fantasy character with no personality outside of being a "cold badass". He gives off vibes of being written by a fake-woke incel and apparently "having no empathy" (a legitimate condition some people have) is synonymous with being heartless and incapable of any sort of affection. All you’re bothered about is looking ‘uncool.’ There’s nothing to get," I quipped reflexively. And it’s not like I was wrong. After all, he was the one getting down on himself for making himself look stupid with all that duel stuff. He was the one who’d wanted the duel in the first place, making all that fuss about being a hero, and now he was pissed about how uncool it had made him look. What a freakin’ narcissist.
