We met Nikolai in Arlo's book and the glimpses we get of him lead the reader to believe he is going to be a crazy one. He does not disappoint. The man is a ruthless killer that holds onto his reputation and status with an iron fist. There are very few people he cares about and when he enters into an arranged marriage to bring two sides together, he sees it as a means to an end. Little does he know that when he sees his betrothed for the first time she becomes everything to him and he would do anything to keep her safe and ONLY his. I also didn't feel much for the hero as he didn't seem to have much personality except for being 👏HORNY👏. Ruthless Heir by Sasha Leone is a captivating dark mafia romance that plunges readers into a world of power, danger, and forbidden love. The story revolves around Gabriel Corso, a sinfully attractive mafia prince, and the unnamed protagonist, a sheltered princess caught in the crossfire of rival families. This book has some of my favorite tropes: Age Gap, Arranged Marriage, Mafia, Alpha Male, and a few others. Nikolai catches a glimpse of his young bride-to-be and he cannot wait to taste her and teach her all the sinful things of his dreams. But he has bigger plans for Amara than just a docile, submissive wife. Sure, he wants her submissive in his bed, but only because she craves it.

The heroine annoyed me at times and it was kind of boring the first half of the book. I also hated how there were no povs from the hero in the second half. Also a good amount of grammar mistakes. Other than all of that, I liked the second half of the book and I liked their relationship dynamics. Imma need Dimitry to get a book though. From his reputation, it’s understandable why Amara Bianchi was terrified of her soon to be husband through an arranged marriage. touch her and d!€. I have to say the Nikolai is probably one of the best book husbands I’ve read about in quite some time. His reputation is understandably absolutely terrifying but Amara being his wife, he treated her like an absolute queen. Took the time to care for her, yet was ruthless to anyone that even looked at her wrong. Because I was born to rule this city, and there was only ever one way to do it — with an iron fist. While Ruthless Heir is undeniably a steamy and intense romance, it also explores deeper themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the transformative power of love. Leone’s writing style is evocative, drawing readers into the characters’ emotions and making them feel every moment of their journey.
