About this deal

Beat the ingredients in the bowl gently, scraping down the sides of the bowl halfway through. Continue to beat the ingredients until fully combined.

Marks and Spencer’s ‘golden egg’ is a replica of the iconic magical object found in the fourth film of the hit franchise - The Goblet of Fire - as fans will recognise it as the snitch that Harry had to retrieve during the Triwizard tournament. Of course you need chocolate in a chocolate Easter nest! Milk chocolate is ideal and guaranteed to be a hit with kids. If you prefer a richer chocolate taste though, you can swap it for dark chocolate; or even half milk chocolate, half dark chocolate.

Will the novelty of blonde chocolate turn into a long-lasting love affair? Or will the flavour go the way of ruby chocolate? What is blonde chocolate? And it looks like they have another fan-favourite on their hands with their brand new Harry Potter Golden Egg Tin that has shoppers obsessing over on Facebook. This Easy No Bake Chocolate Tart is so special (it doesn’t HAVE to be Christmas or Easter obviously 🙂 ). You can equally use Cadbury Mini Eggs too – it looks super lovely studded with those and it will be all the Easter chocolate you’ll need – decedant

The addition of some butter or margarine helps thin out your chocolate a little, meaning it can coat your cornflakes better. Not only that, it means that once the chocolate sets, you won’t break your teeth when you bite into the nests! Cadbury recently told The Sun that 140 golden Creme Eggs have already been found, so there are still 60 up for grabs. Slowly combine the wet ingredients with the sugar and butter, adding a little bit at a time. The mixture will look very wet at this point, but don’t worry! Start mixing very slowly and then as the butter and icing sugar start to combine increase the mixing speed. Continue until the frosting is light and fluffy.Anyway enough about me going on about richness as it’s flipping beautiful served with raspberries (and maybe cream) and looks so pretty! Go on wow them….. Easy Chocolate Tart Inspired by the appearance and also their caramel/honeycomb pieces, I decided to make an eggs-tremely chocolatey Easter cake that’s perfect for all you chocolate lovers out there who love a bit of glitz!

Sift the remaining dry ingredients into the mixture and you should now have a lovely looking cake batter.

To create my caramel layer, I popped a Werther’s caramel into the base of each cupcake liner, placed the cupcake batter on top and baked them to create a decadent, rich cupcake.I used unsalted butter for both the shortbread and caramel layers. You can use salted butter if you like, it won't make it taste salty, instead it will balance out the sweetness. However, I do prefer to use unsalted butter and add my own salt as then I can control the salt levels. You can also use a baking spread, but butter tastes much better in my opinion. It's not that baking spread tastes bad, just that real butter is richer and creamier. You can absolutely use different cereals in your chocolate Easter nests. I often change between cornflakes and rice crispies as they are both delicious in this recipe. I’d recommend using a little less rice crispies though, as they are a little lighter and you’ll end up with a lot more volume if you match the weight with cornflakes. Followers of Gluten Free Alchemist may have noticed that this Golden Egg Cake is the second cake in a matter of weeks that has appeared dressed to kill… in cigarillos. Having bought a stash with this cake in mind, Miss GF snaffled a load when I wasn’t looking for her own baking. I am absolutely not complaining. She did them (and me) proud, making a Fudgy Chocolate-Berry Cake for my birthday… But then (of course) I had to buy more.
