Most Haunted Live returned for a Halloween special, broadcast live from Delapré Abbey in Northamptonshire. The three hour live investigation was streamed live on the Most Haunted Official YouTube channel on Halloween night of Monday 31 October 2022 from 9pm G.M.T. Yvette Fielding and the Most Haunted team travels to Fernhurst in West Sussex to investigate an unusual haunting in nearby Verdley Woods. Legend has it that the woods are haunted by the ghost of the last bear killed in England. The Gaumont Cinema is situated on Park road Dingle in Liverpool it was built and opened in 1937 and housed Britain's first Gaumont projectomatic system. Theatre audiences will be shaking in their seats as Yvette and the team present Most Haunted's All Time Top 10 Scares complete with unseen video footage from haunted castles, manor houses, hospitals and prisons. Most Haunted moved its new content onto its new YouTube channel, which aired new Most Haunted material, shorter Most Haunted episodes, weekly live streams with Karl, Yvette, and Mary Beattie, and also live events at Halloween and other times. Contrary to opening captions on broadcast versions of the programme, current episodes now display opening wording stressing the Most Haunted team stand by the findings of their investigations (as YouTube have no rules or regulations on the legitimacy of paranormal content on the platform).

Series eight began on 27 June 2006 with the 100th investigation and a revisit to Michelham Priory. It marked the last appearance of Richard Felix as the resident historian. He was not replaced until the tenth series. This series featured guest mediums Gordon Smith, Ian Lawman, Ian Shillito of Braintree, Essex and Kevin Wade. The TV show appeared to come to an end when Yvette Fielding announced she was leaving the show on 25th June 2010. Then Living TV released the rights to Antix Productions in 2011. Yvette Fielding and the 'Most Haunted' team re-group for the climax of their investigation of Ruthin Castle as their epic four-part festive special comes to an end. Yvette Fielding and a team of investigators visit Inverary Castle in Scotland, which is allegedly host to musical echoes and ghostly figures. The following special live events were aired live in the US only as a 7 Hour Live Investigation. The UK aired a 2-hour edited version of the live events which were classed as the 'Almost' live series.

Really ended its partnership with Most Haunted in the summer of 2019, with the new owners of Really, Discovery, Inc. deciding to concentrate on importing American paranormal programming rather than the British-based Most Haunted. The live event had the usual interaction from the general public who could tweet or Facebook in their comments and who could watch live streaming webcams from different areas in the house. Talk show host and personality Paul O'Grady joined the team in the investigation.
