I jumped at the chance to test the CosmoGrill Outdoor XL Smoker Barbecue . It seemed like a great option for those who regularly have friends over, with a generous cooking area of 58 x 42.5 cm. Plus, I liked that it doubles as a smoker as well as a grill. Its affordable price tag makes it all the more appealing, so I was looking forward to seeing if it lived up to my expectations! The built-in storage is another feature that works well. This barbecue has a large storage section underneath that can be used to store plates, condiments, or bread rolls, as well as the two foldable side tables. These are a great spot for storing plates or cooked food. We're truly sorry to hear about the issue you encountered with your BBQ. This is certainly not the experience we expect our valued customers to have with our products. The fact that there is an adjustable coal tray to help control the temperature is a great feature. This definitely helps with value for money and makes this BBQ easy for both beginners and experts to use.
The best one has to be the built-in thermometer. It allows you to always keep an eye on the temperature and adjust the coals if necessary.
Quality
Sarah was absolutely right, though, the BBQ is all stainless steel, with only the obvious components (controls, battery enclosure for LEDs and igniter unit, etc.) being made of plastic. I can't impress upon you how important to me a stainless steel BBQ is. As long as it's looked after well, it will last for a good number of years. I treat the outside with a very light coating of baby oil, which removes any fingerprints and marks. The inside gets a good cleaning with a brush (plastic, not metal, in my case) and a small amount of soap and water (which I wipe dry after it's cleaned). I also appreciated the built-in thermometer. When using the BBQ, we got the temperature up to 220°C and our food was perfectly cooked. And if you often wish you had a portable grill so you can do barbecues anywhere, you can now do so thanks to the two wheels at the bottom of this grill that allow you to bring it with you wherever you go. I had one small issue with one of the thermometers threads being dodgy, I Whatsapped Cosmogrill and within 2 days I had a new one delivered.We found that to move the BBQ from inside to outside, we had to lift it from underneath. When doing this, we discovered that some of the edges/underneath were pretty sharp, so this wasn’t the easiest solution. As mentioned, even when using the wheels on one side, the other side still needs to be lifted, so it just doesn’t seem very logical that it doesn’t have any handles.
