Ender 3 V3 SE vs Ender 3 V2 Neo — Creality Experts Creality Ender 3 V3 SE vs Ender 3 V2 Neo — Creality Experts

Manually leveling your bed is tedious. So if your print bed remains in one flat position for long, you won’t have to do it all the time. Full Metal Bowden Extruder Both the Ender 3 V2 and Ender 5 Pro have Creality’s silent V.4.2.2 mainboards charged with the heavy lifting under the hood. As for firmware versions, the Ender 3 V2 has Marlin 2.0 pre-installed, while the Ender 5 Pro comes with Marlin 1.8. Creality says that the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo both feature a v4.2.7 32-bit silent mainboard. However, the v4.2.7 appears functionally identical to the v4.2.2 on older models, albeit with some minor tweaks in stepper motor wiring to suppress noise production. So, don’t expect any performance enhancements over the v4.2.2 mainboard on the older machines. The slicer supports several 3D file formats, such as STL, 3MF, AMF, and OBJ files that you can drag and drop into a neat user interface. Material Compatibility This comes in handy if you have a large collection of models but the names are difficult to discern the models from. Side filament roll holder. This is the first functional thing I printed because the default filament placement puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the extruder and the filament due to the location and weird angles. There are various designs including ones that directly mount with screws and ones that slide into the channels on the frame. An alternative would be to print a filament guide. Flashing the firmware involves putting the *.bin file on a FAT32 Micro SD Card and rebooting the printer. After a few minutes, it should be automatically flashed and ready to operate. The upgraded UI adds a model preview function, making it easier to observe the printing shape and progress for customers. It is convenient for you to know about the model status. Also, it supports nine languages for different customers’ demands. What’s inside of Ender-3 V2 Neo?

Ender-3 V2 Neo 3D Printer - Creality 3D

The upgraded motion system, and user interface offer additional good benefits over the Ender 3 V2 Neo, and the Ender 3 V3 SE matches that printer in features such as automatic bed leveling and build volume. It has no downsides compared to the Ender 3 V2 Neo. The Ender 5 Pro extra 50 mm on the Z-axis gives you a bit more room to print taller objects. Max Nozzle and Bed Temperature Both of these 3D printers include significant updates from their predecessors. Now, let’s take a closer look at some of the common features shared by the Ender 3 Neo and Ender 3 V2 Neo. Physical Design: Build Volume, Dimensions, and DesignSo, we printed the halloween mini-pumpkin on the left at 0.1 mm, and the one on the right at 0.2 mm. This is what they looked like. But that wasn’t enough, we wanted to know what happens when you crank up the print speed on the Ender-3 V2 Neo right to the top. Although the two Neo printers share the same build volume, they do not have the same physical dimensions. The Ender 3 Neo has a total size of 440×440×465mm, while the Ender 3 V2 Neo’s dimensions are 438×424×472mm. Mainboard

The display and user interface on the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE are improved compression to the Ender 3 V2 Neo. While the controls are similar—both printers use a jog wheel with a button to navigate the menus—the Ender 3 V3 SE’s screen can display more colors and includes more information than what you get on the Ender 3 V2 Neo. Creality has also added various quality-of-life top-ups that make using the Ender 3 V2 a more pleasant and enjoyable printer to use long-term. These include a new, detachable 4.3-inch HD color screen, a potentially useful toolbox carved into the printer’s base, and XY-axis tensioners to easily tweak belt tension on the fly. The Ender 3 V2 Neo similarly upgrades the Ender 3 V2. By and large, the V2 Neo offers the same functionality and features as the V2, with the biggest improvements being in terms of ease of setup and ease of use. Creality has made an effort to make this 3D printer as beginner-friendly as possible. In fact, it might just be one of the easiest 3D printers to get started with in its price segment. The Ender-3 V2 Neo’s full-metal Bowden extruder offers greater durability, extrusion force, and smooth feeding and retracting of filaments. This is one of the features that pay off in the long run. In terms of physical size, the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE and Ender 3 V2 Neo are similar, although the Ender 3 V3 SE actually edges out the Ender 3 V2 Neo. Here’s how they compare:

Benefits of the Ender 3 V2 Neo

Even at higher speeds it mostly maintains high precision and quality, and honestly we pushed it way beyond the settings you should be using it at on a day-to-day, so a couple of the models that have small imperfects and gaps would have come out perfect if we’d ran the print on calmer settings. Like most other printers in the Ender 3 series, both the Ender 3 V3 SE and the Ender 3 V2 Neo have a 220 x 220 x 250 mm (8.6 x 8.6 x 9.8 in) build volume. This is a respectable build volume and matches many other 3D printers from Creality and other brands, but if you need to print larger objects, one of Creality’s larger machines would be a better choice. Build volume is a case where bigger isn’t always better, though, because a larger build volume also means the machine itself will be physically larger. Size and Footprint At 60 mm/s, the print on the left turned out practically as perfect as can be. When we increased the print speed to 90 mm/s, we noticed some slight stringing between the holes of the drain, but overall it was still a pretty solid print and still came out very circular. This is the most meaningful upgrade on the Ender 3 V3 SE. Compared to the Ender 3 V2 Neo, you’ll see higher reliability, faster print speeds, and an improved ability to print flexible filament on the Ender 3 V3 SE. Strain Based Z Offset calibration

Ender 3 v2 Neo modification and upgrade guide Creality Ender 3 v2 Neo modification and upgrade guide

The Ender 3 Neo is an update to the Ender 3 Pro 3D printer. It retains much of the form, function, and philosophy of the Ender 3 Pro, while making some notable updates without steeply pushing the price upward. Users get everything they loved about the Ender 3 Pro, along with some great new features, without having to pay much more. Though if we did this again, we would tweak the print settings to cover for the layer gaps and holes, you can clearly see from this layer height test that you get notably better results at 0.1mm, with less prominent layer lines – which the Ender 3 V2 Neo handles without too much issue.

First, it uses linear rods to guide the Y axis movement, which is an improvement over the Ender 3 V2 Neo that should provide a bit more stability. For similar stability reasons, it also includes a second Z axis leadscrew, allowing it to raise both sides of the gantry at once rather than relying on a single leadscrew. Its worth noting that the Ender 3 V3 still uses a single Z motor on the left side; the right Z rod is driven using a belt across the top of the printer. This is a clever design choice since the Z axis does not require much power, and the shared drive ensures they stay in sync. The Creality Ender 3 V3 SE and Ender 3 V2 Neo differ in a few important ways, such as their extruder style and user interface. We’ll cover these differences in detail and point out where you may benefit from choosing one of these printers over the other. Extruder and Hot End Both are what we’d consider average for entry-level 3D printers and are enough for a wide variety of projects, including decorative and displays pieces, household items, functional items, models, toys, and all those go-to Thingiverse favorites. They hold the position of the bed of Ender-3 V2 Neo much longer and with this we don’t have to do the manual leveling often and it has the auto leveling sensor but even then it is important you will see later to do the manual bed leveling first to make the surface parallel with the moving pad of the nozzle as much as possible in that case less has to be compensated by that information collected by the auto leveling sensor and it’s easy to assemble.
