I don’t know what Pure Havane smells like but weirdly to me this was like Joop Homme sweet synthetic cherry tobacco kind of thing with a strong liquorice or aniseed note. Spoiler alert: Insurrection II Wild is totally awesome, addictive, intoxicating and easily as good as reformulated Pure Havane, possibly as good as the original formula, but with a few differences. I think it's closest to Voux Elegante but just a little more spicy while Voux Elegante has a little more clear honey and lavender.The tobacco note in this fragrance is what I remember from his tool shed; smoke-cured aged tobacco, and I love that about this fragrance.
