About this deal

My kids and I made these on a rainy afternoon and had so much fun. If your kids are like mine, they have a short attention span. Put the finished Oreos on wax or parchment paper to dry. Doing so will allow you to remove them easily. These Halloween Oreo balls are my latest creation. I made 5 different variations: a ghost, mummy, spider, pumpkin and one with seasonal sprinkles. Each was super easy to decorate and turned out so cute! Chocolate. I used chocolate chips and melting wafers. You must add shortening to the chocolate chips so the chocolate hardens the way it should. You can use a mix, as I did, or all of one type of chocolate. Oreos. You can use any flavor of Oreos! If you get your hands on the Halloween Oreos, they offer a bright orange cream filling and are delicious. Or maybe you prefer a Golden Oreo. Go right ahead and reach for any of your favorites. Even Oreo thins are a great option.

Scoop. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out the dough and roll the Oreo mixture between your hands to form balls. Place them on the parchment lined cookie sheet. Freeze for 10-15 minutes or until they are slightly firm. You sure can! Just use the gluten-free Oreos that they sell at your local grocery stores and make sure that both your chocolate as well as the Halloween decorations you are planning on using are gluten-free as well. Can I use gel food coloring to color my chocolate? I hope you and your kids have as much fun as we did putting these together and just as much fun gobbling them up!Toppings: Use festive sprinkles, nuts, mini chocolate chips or anything else you have on hand or would look nice. Cream cheese: This gives these Halloween treats their creaminess, as well as acts as a binder to keep the cookie crumbs together. No microwave, no problem. You can melt all of your ingredients in a double boiler. This will give you the same results without a microwave. Just make sure to heat the mixture well, once it boils allow it to stay on the heat for another 2 minutes to let the sugar dissolve. How can I take these Halloween brownies to the next level? My kids are just hitting the age where they like a little bit of gore during Halloween, so these Spooky Halloween Oreos at Family Fresh Meals ( above and very top) are at the top of my list. My kids immediately screamed, “yes!” when I showed them this Halloween treat recipe. They may even be the easiest to create out of all the ideas here, which is a win for both of us.

Repeat the same melting process for the remaining two chocolates. Place the finished Oreos in the refrigerator and allow them to chill for at least 20 minutes. This will help set the chocolate. Do I have to use Oreos?-You don’t have to use Oreos; any chocolate cream cookie will work! 👩🏻‍🍳 How to Make Oreo Bats This recipe makes an easy Halloween treat that you can enjoy during the whole month of October (or even before, who am I to say?) and also serve at your next Halloween party or get-together. They’re versatile and will allow your inner artist to really get into the Halloween spirit and shine while decorating each one of them! Why do you need to make this recipe? I DO NOT HAVE A MICROWAVE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?There’s nothing better than making a Halloween treat, especially when that treat is so colorful and fun like these dipped Oreos.
