About this deal

So it is supposed to be clipped to the master cable at you energy meter, but I want to clip it to any cable in my home. Update speed is capped at 5 seconds, but energy that’s being used in those 5 seconds will get metered and pushed in one Zigbee payload as a delta value. In the 3phase installation, when we put eaqual load on each phase, current will be compensated and nothing should flow through neutral. At least the owner through the agency agrees to change things and shows she cares about her flat, but I don't think she will agree on changing the whole installation. As I said, apart from the confusing part of calibration, it’s a ridiculously easy build process and very cheap to make.

Some of the code was just to see visually what’s going on during the calibration process (easier to look at on a dashboard compared to the log file). It doesn't work an any cable because it uses the magnetic field around the cable to calculate the current flow. the hardware have 16CH CT Clamp sensor INPUT ports + 3CH analog input + Ethernet + WiFi + Bluetooth + DS3231 RTC module + SSD1306 I2C LCD display + SD card.It does all the hard work of linking the CT clamp into the D1 Mini, and it’s been built to just connect perfectly together with the D1.

Operating the buttons to set up the unit and change display mode produces quite loud and piercing beeps which could be bad or good. Simple, safe installation at the meter – can also be installed inside a consumer unit by a qualified electrician. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. That one can be used as a full house energy monitoring system and is fully supported in Zigbee2MQTT. You can use it to measure any cable but you need to separate it or the magnetic fields will cancel and you will not get a reading. To change that old fuse box for a modern consumer unit with RCD protection could only cost a few hundred quid if the circuits all test out OK. In the UK, that is roughly 240v most of the time and you can hard code that value into the configuration if you like, but I have a better suggestion.
