All Stokke® furniture is made from wood, which, as a natural product, may show a degree of natural variance. The Tripp Trapp® chair was designed in 1972 by Peter Opsvik, who has been watching as his young son has grown out of his traditional high chair but he was still far too small for using adult’s chair.

The Stokke® Tripp Trapp® features unique adjustability of the seat and footrest height and depth enabling the Tripp Trapp® to adapt to your child as they grow, ensuring that your child sits comfortably at all times. Besides the visual guidelines provided within the User Guide, we ask that you try to reassemble the chair with a set of specific guidelines in an effort to resolve the issues you are facing. Doing so would spare you the time it would take for a new set of legs to arrive, as reassembly is an inevitable part of the solution. Additionally, in case the chair is not assembled in accordance with the guidelines, the wobbling issue would present itself even with a brand new set of legs. Chairs produced before May 2003 are not compatible with the current ® Baby Set™ and the Newborn Set™.Our tester, Katrĩna, spent 30 minutes on the assembly from opening the box to having the chair up and ready in the kitchen. That's how the Tripp Trapp® unconventional visual design was born and it has become an icon to this day. Wood tends to cling onto hardened food more than plastic, so our hardened porridge test took several minutes of scrubbing to completely remove.

The shape encourages a proper seating posture from the very beginning as well as a correct adjustment of the chair`s settings. Additionally the chair is correctly spaced and so stable that even a young toddler can climb up into the chair safely by themselves.Originally designed in 1972, the Stokke Tripp Trapp was one of the first highchairs designed to grow with your child and allow them to sit comfortably at the table with the rest of the family.
