About this deal

That's right. There's a sniper out there lurking in the dark and they have their sights set on our six friends, who are now trapped in their disabled vehicle. There's no cell service. They're far from help. What can they do?

I LOVED this book. I wish I could say that I read it in eight hours for the challenge but I actually read it much faster than that because I could not put it down. Five Survive is a stand out amongst YA thrillers, coming at you full force with the grit and stakes of an adult thriller whilst simultaneously catering to its teen audience with scary realism. Brief mentions of several movies and TV shows ( The Office, The Godfather, SpongeBob, and P anic Room). red - she annoyed me but i also felt so bad for her can my emotions not be a mess for once 😭 i just want to hug her. I will admit that it took me a littleeee bit to get into the book but once I did, it moved so. fast. The book is super fast paced and the ending is full of so many twists that I did not see coming. A fun, gripping, and skillfully constructed novel of suspense. I loved Pip—her relatable quirks, her inventive investigative approach, and her willingness to step outside of her safe world in search of the truth.” —Emily Arsenault, author of All the Pretty ThingsEighteen-year-old Red and her friends are on a road trip in an RV, heading to the beach for Spring Break. It’s a long drive but spirits are high. Until the RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere. And as the wheels are shot out, one by one, the friends realise that this is no accident. The plot twists were actually good- I heard people say that they found the book predictable, but I only guessed one thing right, though it was something really big: Arthur being the mole. I knew it from the very beginning, there was just something way off about him. It's Spring Break and 18-year old, Red, and her five friends, Maddy, Oliver, Reyna, Arthur and Simon, are traveling from Pennsylvania to the Gulf Coast of Florida in an RV. All the characters were written well in this book which I thought wouldn't be possible given the 8 hours of the plot. Amazing Audiobooks for Young Adults". Get started CloseIvy, Mateo, and Cal used to be close. Now all they have in common is Carlton High and the beginning of a very bad day. As a game of cat-and-mouse plays out, the group desperately tries to get help. Buried secrets are forced to light and tensions within the group reach deadly levels. Only one thing is for sure. Not everyone will survive the night... Oliver is a complete psychopath, and I'm sure that he was acting out of fear, but still, that was crazy, and so is he. Oliver- I have this mental "hit list" of book characters who I hate passionately- and guess who just joined the list 😀😀🔪🔪 I hated Oliver SO MUCH- I wanted to strangle him throughout this book so bad 👊 Yeah, i despise him 😘

Everyone believes that Salil Singh killed his girlfriend, Andrea Bell, five years ago—except Pippa Fitz-Amobi. I liked this book. I liked Red's character development, and I liked how fast paced this book was. Regardless of how fast paced it was, it did however feel a little slow in some parts, leaving me to skim read over the descriptions of items like a mirror. I liked how it developed, I liked the ending and plot twists. I guessed 2 of them, which I was proud of myself for, however I did not see all the others coming!!

Red Kenny is on a road trip for spring break with five friends: Her best friend – the older brother – his perfect girlfriend – a secret crush – a classmate – and a killer. When their RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, they soon realize this is no accident. They have been trapped by someone out there in the dark, someone who clearly wants one of them dead. With eight hours until dawn, the six friends must escape, or figure out which of them is the target. But is there a liar among them? Buried secrets will be forced to light and tensions inside the RV will reach deadly levels. Not all of them will survive the night. . . . The RV was going nowhere. And here they were, the six of them, trapped inside it, the wide-open nothing and the red dot waiting for them out there.” It’s a long drive but spirits are high. Until the RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere. And as the wheels are shot out, one by one, the friends realise that this is no accident. on one hand, the story is super fast-paced. the entire plot takes place over the span of 8 hours, so i guess it would have to be. the vast majority of the narrative (~80%) is dialogue, so that also contributes to the fast pacing. and these things are conducive for a good thriller, as nothing feels like its dragging. it definitely has a “keep you on the edge of your seat” kind of feel.
