Spensa goes to find M-Bot and comes across him with a broken hull. M-Bot is now in the drone instead. During a battle with the Krell a couple months after the Battle of Alta Second, a alien named Alanik, of the UrDail species, crashes on Detritus and gives Spensa the opportunity to take her place and spy on the Krell. [3] [4] Alanik was cytonic like Spensa, and imprinted the coordinates for a place called Starsight in her brain. [4] Spensa hyperjumps for the second time and finds herself at the center of bureaucracy for the Superiority, the alien organization that had kept humans imprisoned on Detritus for decades. Once you get command yourself, you realize we’re all just the same kids wearing older bodies.”Cuna: A high ranking Superiority government official, who has taken a keen interest in Spensa's progress in the piloting program. There are a few interludes in between chapters, featuring some familiar secondary characters, that begin as fairly simple fleshing out of their characters and the world of Detritus, but end in a significant discovery that will almost certainly play a key role in the next book in the SKYWARD series. Between that and the rather cliffhangerish ending of Starsight, I’m searching for a way to teleport myself into the future and get a copy of the next book in this series now rather than in 2021!

Vapor and Spensa enter the maze and reach a chamber with lots of writing. The writing is the same as some writing on her planet. Videos of dogfights get leaked. Once the Superiority finds out who did it, they will exile that person. All the news stations are talking about it. Cuna talks to Spensa about humans and their history, and Cuna tells Spensa that humans aren’t a real threat. Cuna wants Spensa to spy on Protective Services.
