About this deal

Aldi said: “Great for all skin types this amazing Lacura Original Hot Cloth Cleanser is sure to give you naturally healthy looking skin. Add this dermatologically tested cleanser into your beauty regime and you'll be amazed at how great your skin starts to feel and look.” The Lacura Miracle Cream is a dupe of the Elizabeth Arden cream and isn’t just a moisturiser, but is also an anti-inflammatory. I’ve tried so many Aldi dupes now and found them to be pretty hit and miss. I wasn’t a fan of their Too Faced mascara dupe, or their take on Benefit’s Hoola bronzer. But their hot cloth cleanser is a great dupe for Liz Earle, and their fragrances are great too - like this Tom Ford inspired scent. Arguably the best day cream in the world, the caviar cream contains caviar extract which is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals that pep up the skin and a super-powerful anti-ageing active ingredient. Maija added: “Obsessed with this highlighter. Have had so many compliments since I started using it. It lasts really well and definitely makes your face glow! It’s just as good as the benefit one just without the price tag!”

I have been using the Lacura Miracle Cream for a few months now and was actually starting to panic when I was getting low because you don’t see it in-store all the time.As far as price goes (at Aldi) these products can’t be beaten. The creams come in a glass jar with a classy looking top and boxed. They would be an ideal inexpensive, but expensive-looking present for someone. You know how much I love Aldi’s dupes, but am particularly keen on its Lacura range, which has some amazing beauty and make-up products which are heavily (ahem) ‘inspired’ on big make-up products for a fraction of the price. Lacura has taken the beauty world by storm thanks to its many affordable and impressive dupes of high end, luxurious products. Both the Simple and Lacura facial wipes are fragrance-free, no artificial perfumes, colours, harsh chemicals etc so are OK to use with sensitive skin. It’s incredibly moisturising. Apparently studies found that by using the Lacura Caviar Illumination day cream, the skin increases hydration after four hours of up to 58%, resulting in improved elasticity and smoother skin – which is the dream, right?!

Aldi’s ever-growing Lacura range continues to draw inspiration from the likes of big name brands like Liz Earle, Bobbi Brown and Benefit, making similar products that perform ‘just as well’ for a fraction of the cost. After leaving it to settle for a few minutes while I did my hair, I applied my foundation and it did seem to glide on much easier. My skin didn’t feel greasy at all. The flaky areas were still flaky – but as my foundation dried it didn’t seem to look as bad as it usually does. I don’t have a problem with large pores, so I can’t really say whether it helps with this or not. However, it did seem to soften my fine lines. After my foundation I added a bit of powder blush and bronzer. The primer did seem to be holding onto my foundation just fine, as I was worried about whether it would start to slip. If you’re someone who loves make-up, but doesn’t like to break the bank, then you’ve probably heard of Lacura.I only ever use pore blurring primers on my cheeks or nose, and tend to prefer a more hydrating primer on my drier parts of my face, but if you have problematic pores, I personally don’t think the Aldi Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer will give you the same results as the Smashbox primer. Aldi said: “Add to your makeup collection with this Lacura Highlighter. Achieve your chosen look with this delicate and sweet highlighter. Define, pop and contour your way to looking your absolute best.” Just as good as Smashbox but at a fraction of the cost,” said a third. While another said: “Identical to Smashbox! Superb primer - after using the Smashbox one for years switched to this one and saved a fortune and really could not tell a difference between them. Helps make up to glide on easier and tames my oily skin. Well worth a try - you won't regret it!” The Aldi Lacura Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer contains 30ml of product within a squeezy plastic tube, and aesthetically, it looks extremely similar to the Smashbox version of the primer. This balm is honestly a life-saver. I slaver it on before bed (it smells like cloves) and under my make-up and it improves my skin considerably.
