About this deal

Lynn Painter never fails to make the best romcoms and this was no different! This had EVERYTHING - fake dating, only one bed, jealous love interest - I loved every SECOND!' 5* READER REVIEW Scorsese and DiCaprio have teamed up on several films since their first collaboration on Gangs of New York in 2002. That initial project was followed by The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Killers of the Flower Moon, which is also based on a non-fiction book by Grann. In addition, Scorsese directed DiCaprio in a short promotional film for a casino resort in China. Not only did DiDomizio create a multifaceted, relatable main character (flawed in the very best ways), but he dragged a magic wand over the entire cast and made them utterly unforgettable. (The book sent me down a rabbit hole of searching archives of ESPN- The Body Issue, so be warned. ;)

The most sidesplittingly funny, sexual tension-filled book I've read in a long, long time. I dare you not to fall in love!' ALI HAZELWOOD, author of THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS Hallie Piper had a night she doesn’t want to remember and decides to turn over a new leaf. She’s ready for one steady boyfriend and to start a real relationship. She gets a new wardrobe, haircut, and attitude. Smart, sexy, and downright hilarious. Mr Wrong Number is an absolutely pitch-perfect romantic comedy' CHRISTINA LAUREN, author of THE UNHONEYMOONERS Read more Look Inside Details The Love Wager lives up to Painter’s hype. It’s cute, funny, and endearingly romantic.”—The Review Geek An adorable, perfect read that I would happily fall in love with again and again and again' 5* READER REVIEWThe Love Wager by Lynn Painter is the second book in her Mr. Wrong Number series. It’s a delightful, laugh-out-loud, romantic comedy that I enjoyed very much.

Prom is coming and Liz has made a deal with Wes, her tormenting devil-of-the-boy next door, to get her invited to the party where her crush is going to be. If she could just get in front of Michael she knew she could get him to invite her to the prom. Everything with him was great, but it was great in the way a Hallmark Christmas movie was great. Everything looked perfect—the clothing, the setting, the words—but none of it felt . . . real.” I already know this is going to be one of my favourites of the year . . . Just perfection. I want to read this book again already' 5* READER REVIEW Ms. Painter brings us another riotous YA Rom-Com with The Do-Over. Emile Hornby is spending Valentine’s Day, self-soothing with a quart of Ben & Jerry’s, chocolate, of course. The whole day was a dump including losing a much needed scholarship, hearing her parents are splitting up, and she totally caught her boyfriend cheating on her. On Valentine’s Day! Self-soothing with with consolation ice cream was all she could do. So she goes to bed feeling horrible about her life.Disclaimer #2: If I HAAAATED this author and wanted to punch her in the face, I would still LOVE this book (which would piss me off, so I'm glad I like her). Because as they pretend to be a couple, they struggle to remember why dating for real was a bad idea to begin with . . . Afia is masterful at capturing Harlem in the twenties, sweeping the reader away to the glamour. The fashion, the language, the clubs - her worldbuilding is lush, while at the same time authentic. I don't know that much about this period of history, but I never doubted a single detail of this amazing book. I LOVED this book! Read this if you love: fake dating, bookish/Jane Austen inspired banter, heroes who fall first, flirty texts, dual POV' 5* READER REVIEW One of Lynn Painter’s claims to fame is being able to cram a whole cupcake in her open mouth. A dubious skill, for sure, but one she is proud of. She’s quirky, fun, and highly energetic. These traits are an asset in her writing because they color and influence her work and makes it enjoyable for all of us.

I had an absolute blast reading this book! I was consistently laughing out loud . . . This book is fun and entertaining and I didn't want to put it down' 5* READER REVIEW Will you take a chance on true love. . . ? A laugh-out-loud rom-com from TikTok favourite Lynn Painter, for fans of Ali Hazlewood Two people make a wager on who can find love first, not realizing what they should be betting on is each other, in this new romantic comedy by Lynn Painter, New York Times bestselling author of Mr. Wrong Number.

A fun, flirty, and timely read from Painter ( Mr. Wrong Number), with likable characters to boot.”— Library Journal Listen, Tiny Bartender.' He grabbed the plate of nachos and slid it in front of her, because they both knew she loved selecting the first chip. 'You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love you three times. Please tell me my hands are cold so we can get on with our lives already.” Overall, The Love Wager was an enjoyable read and perfect for fans of books with the friends-to-lovers, fake dating, or “he falls first” tropes.
