About this deal

Although the story of Jamie Lloyd and Rachel was not very compelling, I remember digging the fact that filmmakers expanded on the Myers universe and touched on a couple supernatural ideas.

Audio Commentaries— The first track features Ellie Cornell (Rachel) and Danielle Harris (Jamie) while the second has author Justin Beahm interview director Dwight H.However, the earlier disc had a panel discussion from the H25 Convention featuring Danielle Harris, Kathleen Kinmont, Sasha Jenson and Jeffrey Landman discussing both Halloween 4 and 5.

But the planned live broadcast turns deadly when their evening of excitement becomes a night of horror as Michael himself decides to crash the party. When it comes down to it, it's ultimately the style and atmosphere of the franchise that draws my attention, allowing each filmmaker of every installment to create a sense of foreboding rather than jumps scares or cleverly one-liners and to make Michael Myers a literal scary shape of the shadows. The vintage-y featurette Halloween Unmasked 2000, originally produced for DVD back in 1999, is included here. If you want to know my thoughts on the individual movies themselves (and of course you do), there are links to the specific reviews at the bottom of the page. The material on this site may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, cached or otherwise used except with the prior written permission of The Digital Bits, Inc. Michael Lives (HD, 271 minutes) — An insanely in-depth look at the production and making of the movie.

It’s certainly an ambitious release, especially considering that fans have probably bought at least some of these movies on Blu-ray before (in some cases, repeatedly). There’s also a new commentary by director of photography Dean Cundey, editor Tommy Lee Wallace and The Shape himself, Nick Castle. Imaging delivers plenty of background activity with very good channel separation and balance, and dialogue reproduction is distinct and pristine in the center. Both Halloween II and Halloween III: Season of the Witch are identical to the previous Scream Factory releases. configurations, the soundtrack delivers a wide sense of presence with a clean, distinct mid-range and sharping detailing in the orchestration. Halloween 5 appears to be the same as Anchor Bay’s previous Blu-ray, with two commentaries (actor Don Shanks and Beahm on one, director Dominique Othenin-Girard with actors Danielle Harris and Jeffrey Landman on the other), an On the Set featurette, original promo reel and trailer.
