I liked the character of Itch, as he was strange and invited the reader to wonder what on earth he would try to collect next. At its core, Itch revolves around the relationship of Itch, his younger sister Chloe and his cousin Jacqueline (Jack) as they cope with the problems associated with possessing a radioactive substance the world and his dog would do anything to obtain.

Meanwhile Tim is exposed as wanting the rock to rescue his mother, and a desperate Flowerdew decides to try kidnapping to force Itch to finally give him the rock.
