About this deal

Rim the glass with salt.A salted rim is a must here! Why? The salt enhances the sweet and sour flavors in the drink! More on that, below. To support the launch, Sazerac will activate a 360-degree marketing campaign with online video, paid and organic social media, and social influencer marketing. Need help chopping it? Here’s how to cut a mango. And if you’ve got leftovers, try our Mango Salsa or Mango Skewers. How to make a mango margarita

There’s still a bit of a stigma around tequila – people think that they don’t like it. An espresso martini is a good introduction because the tequila is surrounded by familiar flavours. Ordinarily, an espresso martini contains vodka, but our version is a bit richer, with more caramel flavours.Since then, the availability of and demand for flavored tequilas has grown. Naturally, this has encouraged more companies to get in on the action, particularly for the U.S. market. (Tequila drinkers in the spirit’s home country are typically more traditionalist about their agave spirits.) Inspiration for Flavors The acidity of the sauvignon blanc in this recipe helps balance out the sweetness of the agave syrup. Start by mixing 25ml each of agave syrup and sauvignon blanc in a small jug until it is a consistent liquid. Then add to a tall glass with 50ml blanco tequila and 25ml freshly squeezed lime and lemon juice (equal measures of each). Top up with soda water or bitter lemon and ice cubes, and stir. It’s almost a cross between a spritz and a margarita – very refreshing on a nice day. Lot lizard See the recipe card below for a detailed ingredient list and step-by-step instructions. How to make a frozen mango margarita Mangoes: use frozen mango chunks to avoid diluting the drink with ice. If unavailable, cube fresh mangoes and freeze them beforehand. Make it skinny by using fresh orange juice and a small amount of agave nectar instead of triple sec.

In just about any liquor store you can find vodkas, rums and whiskeys flavored with everything from citrus and cucumber to cotton candy and maple syrup-smothered pancakes. But in recent years another spirit category has crept in amongst the usual flavored suspects: tequila. Flavored tequila could not legally be labeled as tequila—instead, it was a “tequila product”—until the Tequila Regulatory Council of Mexico updated its regulations in 2004. Use different fruits: don’t limit yourself to just mangoes! You can use any fruit you have on hand or that’s in season. Peaches, melon, watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries are all great options. Just make sure to add them frozen so the drink maintains its slushy consistency.

Pour the margarita into the prepared glasses, garnish with lime wedges and fresh mint sprigs, and serve immediately. For many of our other margarita recipes, we suggest using tequila reposado or aged tequila because it adds a nice nuance of flavor. Because this one is a frozen margarita, it also works well with a tequila blanco. Tequila blanco is unaged, and it has a more straightforward flavor and that signature tequila burn. You can use either: whatever suits your tastes! For the sweetener This fine blanco tequila made with Blue Weber agave is infused with tropical mango flavours for a headline spirit presented in an eye-catching guitar-shaped bottle. This mango margarita needs just a little sweetener to be perfectly balanced (contrary to our Classic Margarita, which has no added sugar). Here are a few of our favorite options and why we’d like to use them: The advantage to using frozen mango in a mango margarita is: it shortcuts chopping the mango! It takes a little time to cut a mango, so it’s more convenient to grab a bag of frozen diced chunks. It also makes a nice creamy, frosty texture. Got a fresh mango on hand and want to use it? No problem! You can substitute it for the frozen mango here. It has the same result, it’s just not as frothy and ice cold.

Made at the Juanacatlán distillery cooperative just outside of Guadalajara, which also produces a handful of other unflavored and locally distributed tequilas, the success of Tanteo’s flavored tequilas has bolstered the 85 member cooperative as a whole and has also led the brand toward an unusual progression, with the launch of its first traditional tequila, a blanco, in January 2020. For a spicy twist, infuse tequila with jalapeño slices or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the blender. When YaVe first launched, its initial goal was to create and bottle a blanco tequila. It would also serve as the base for the flavored tequilas to follow. “Once we achieved the perfect blanco, we were able to focus on the sabores (flavors),” says Cruz. “We macerate the mango separately and naturally infuse it with our blanco inside of stainless steel barrels.” While this specific Mango Sunrise drink isn’t one that your corner pub might offer due to slightly obscure ingredients, it is a wonderfully refreshing beverage to sip at home, offer at your next BBQ or serve for brunch! Tanteo, however, isn’t the only company that’s honed in on the American drinker’s desire for hot pepper tequila. YaVe Tequila launched in 2017 with two flavored tequilas— jalapeño and mango. Agave Loco and Playa Real also launched in 2008 and 2018, respectively, with flavored tequilas that slightly tone down the heat with a secondary flavor. Even giants like Patron and Sauza Tequila have flavors in their lineups. Gateway DrinkSimilarly to Tanteo, Playa Real is making 100 percent agave and 80 proof flavored tequilas. But instead of focusing on hot and spicy, the brand went all in on fresh fruit. Playa Real offers pineapple and mandarin flavors in addition to a classic blanco. The family of creams with Tequila grows! The more tropical sister of strawberry cream is sweet on the palate with delicate acid nuances.
