About this deal

It’s literally worse than the mega pro at double the cost. The only “positive” it does have is shorter bits for magnetism which cost pennies to buy separately anyway and forces you to buy standard bits if you want to be able to use one set of bits with all tools. Personally I have a 200+ part set with around 150 bits that I use for a screwdriver or impact driver. The MEGAPRO 13-in-1 ratcheting screwdriver features patent pending ZAD 8 Zinc Alloy SOLID-CORE ratchet that delivers over 225 inch lbs of torque strength. Precision 28-tooth ratchet design with rubberized cushion grip handle makes driving fasteners faster and easier.

Loaded with 6 double end professional quality bits, this assortment of bit types and sizes provides the 13 most popular tips for driving screws. The shaft opening serves as a 1/4″ hex driver.

The product category is ratchetting screwdrivers so excluding the PB Swiss for no internal bit storage would be a bit strange. Also quite a few people mentioned the PB Swiss in the lead up and it was missing from the pop up shop so personally I’m glad it was included. With all this information laid out, I want to tell you that if you want a premium screwdriver get the Snap On. It will give you respect from technicians, engineers and mechanics and will out last you. Snap On warranties are legendary and their tools are priced and made to work for a lifetime. If you don't want to spend that much on a screwdriver, the MegaPro and Williams offer amazing value for about half the price. As for the LTT screwdriver, the tool looks well thought out and made but being priced about the same as the Snap On is a deal breaker. Linus, having used the Snap On screwdriver for 15 years, took a lot of inspiration from Snap On and made minor changes to distinguish it from being a clone. Buy the LTT if you want to support LTT and have needs for a cool screwdriver, but know that there are equivalent products for less and superior products for the same price. The LTT Screwdriver has been years in the making, with many challenges that were overcome to create what looks to be an amazing product. Linus recently went over the entire process in a transparent video, discussing everything that went down and why it took so long to bring to market.

Every so often, you’ll need to clean your ratcheting screwdriver. Keeping tools clean is a great way to extend the life of your tools. If the screwdriver isn’t too dirty, you can simply wipe them down with stainless steel wipes. Tools that need a deeper cleaner are better suited to the use of WD-40. You should also use WD-40 on any comfort grip handles, as these handles absorb the chemicals found in other products, which can cause them to wear out prematurely. When it comes to ensuring the bit stays in the screwdriver PB Swiss is the top dog at 2199 grams of retention strength. In second is Wera at 1436 grams, and in third is SATA at 1227 grams. LTT came in 6th place at 1201 grams. Megapro Tools offers a Lifetime Warranty on all Made in USA and Made in Canada Screwdrivers. Warranty does not cover bits.PB Swiss came in first in this test with a very impressive 199.5 grams of magnetic hold strength, winning by over 100 grams. In second place is LTT with an impressive 89.9 grams of magnetic strength. In third place, Wera was able to hold up to 69.8 grams. Bit retention strength

The Megapro Advantage Find out what makes screwdrivers from Megapro Tools stand above all the rest. A ratcheting screwdriver is a handy tool that really speeds up the process of installing or removing a set of screws. It works by eliminating the need to continuously reposition your wrist with every turn of the screwdriver. Instead, the screwdriver’s handle moves, while the head stays firmly planted on the screw. If you don’t have a ratcheting screwdriver, you’ll want to invest in a set that comes with a variety of bits to help you complete just about any project around the home. Megapro Tools offers a lifetime warranty on all screwdrivers manufactured in the US and Canada. The 24-in-1 Precision Screwdriver has a 3-year limited warranty. The warranty does not cover the bits. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, product misuse or product modifications. Products must be used in a safe manner for the purpose for which they are intended.

You might need to use an extension shaft with the screwdriver head if it isn’t long enough to meet your needs. I can hear the silence of the LTT screwdriver critics. @Imbadatnames care to enlighten us with your amazing wisdom on magnetism of how crap LTT's is? Consider how much maintenance you’re comfortable doing. If you only plan on fixing a few furniture pieces, a model with six of the most widely used bits is all you need. Sometimes the model will have a handle that doubles as storage for the bits. I'm a bit of a tool guy and I was never a fan of multi-bit drivers as I found them to be a poor substitute for individual drivers, and often of poor quality. I have worked as a contractor, and also in sales for a leading German company selling very high quality tools, so I know good tools.
