About this deal

With the exception of their fantastic Oud Kriek, their beers are sweeter than the others' and full of a sherberty sweetness that makes most of them fantastic dessert beers. For this beer, peaches are then added to give the beer a pleasant, aromatic sweetness that offsets the sour base before a pleasing and refreshing tart finish.

The attack is strong and lively, passing into a varied palette of flavors that strikes a perfect balance between the sweetness of the fruit and the softly sour character of lambic. What we had not thought of is that the movement of the waves would reactivate the fermentation process and cause the corks to pop during the trip. A sörgyárban dolgozó szakemberek évtizedes tapasztalainak köszönhető ez a rózsaszínes-pirosas színű „cseresznye pezsgő”.You might consider the Oude Kriek Cuvée René that I had at The Sovereign as the grown-up version of this beer.

His interests include listening to the tunes of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard and watching Wes Anderson films. The history of Lindemans Brewery began in 1822 when the brewery was founded on a small farm in Vlezenbeek. The brewery, to this day, is still a family company, run by brothers Nestor and Rene for a long time, [3] before their sons, Dirk and Geert, took over the business, each having a 50% interest in the company. Because we immediately filter and pasteurize the beer, this Kriek tastes slightly sweeter and fruitier than the Oude Kriek Cuvée René with its refermentation in the bottle. After testing out the waters with Lindemans’ Kriek, I’d recommend seeking out this farmhouse version.

Due to the use of filtrate and pasteurization, this kriek is sweeter and fruitier than Old Kriek Cuvée René, which undergoes a second fermentation process in the bottle. The serious practitioners are all blessedly making the best beer they can with the best fresh, local fruit they can, rather than forcing stylistic uniformity. Mostly clear but a bit chill hazed, this otherwise appears light ruby red with a fairly tall pink foam head that clings in tall ridges. Kriek, in the modern sense, is afforded a wide interpretation as far as I can see,” says Joe Connolly, the Director of the Jack’s Abby offshoot Springdale.T: cherry pie filling up front with a blast of tart, tangy acidity in the finish, which continues to tingle in the aftertaste while a subtly sweetish cherry cordial smatters the palate floor. Lambic beers are fermented using wild yeasts in the air and aged in oak barrels for years to give a sour tart flavour. Due to the use of juice and pasteurisation, this kriek is sweeter and fruitier than Oude Kriek Cuvée René, which undergoes a second fermentation process in the bottle. To prevent that from happening, we therefore developed an alternative production method for our kriek.

Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Since real Schaerbeek cherries are scarce, Lindemans Brewery has found their perfect equivalence elsewhere in Europe.from traditional, spontaneously-fermented beers aged on whole cherries, to vaguely sour beers with a huge dose of jam-like cherry flavor.
