Particularly women, particularly women 30-45 almost *always* tell me how good I smell in this (and often follow it up with “Joop? Which, by the way, is what you're getting now from just about EVERY fragrance that is some years old.

I still have a small plastic rectangular travel bottle of this from maybe 25 years ago and I can confirm that the new version is not as strong.This is for serious connoisseurs with sophisticated noses, but whoever passes through your scent trail will fall in love with it. The hot pink juice inside retained its color on skin (like Tabu’s amber and Poison’s violet) and it came out sticky and thick— leaving an oily residue that would have heeded a more cautious application to someone who wasn’t me… The smell was HUGE and everywhere— sticky vanilla, syrupy cough-medicine cherry, virile nearly-urinous honey, enough summery white flowers to (almost) rival Poison and CINNAMON. Then I've gone to an ABBA themed dance party and it was one of my 3 top picks to match the style (Joop, Brutal, Wars). The presentation is minimalist: metallized bottle with an economical atomizer and plastic ring instead of a cap. Still, I have to credit it— even in its reformulation, this is one of my most complimented fragrances of all time.

This Review is based on the new reformulation, There are many notes in this fragrance but it is a linear scent. It is somewhat synthetic but absolutely not as much as plenty of other, much more expensive fragrances. the problem with this one is the first hour or so it has i think because of the iris some kind of smell. Regardless of the sandalwood note, this does not smell like Creed's Original Santal or Mont Blanc Individual. One thing to note is that the opening can be quite strong, so I recommend spraying it a little away from your face.It’s a sweet fragrance, that can absolutely be worn by women as well as men, I would even go as far as to say that it leans more feminine than masculine, at least on my skin, but my skin does tend to enhance sweet notes in fragrances. I am female, and with my body chemistry, this (at least in its 2020-or-so reformulation) is a pleasant, warm, sugary heliotrope with a cinnamon-tobacco-woody base, best for cool-weather wear. It lasts about 6+ hours, is weaker in strength, which isn't necessarily bad, and the scent is almost like an entirely different fragrance.
