About this deal

Rugged, damage-resistant construction and fatigue-combating memory foam ear cushions means your game lasts as long as you want it to. Unfortunately, they lack companion software and an EQ to tune their otherwise warm sound profile to your liking. Fortunately, the overemphasized mid and high-bass add extra boom and punch to your audio, so gameplay still feels intense. As a simple stereo headset, the A10 doesn't offer any sort of simulated surround sound like the Astro A40 and A50, or the Logitech G433.

Voice chat comes through clearly, though it easily picks up breathing unless you find a sweet spot for the arm.The Astro A10 Gen 2 and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1 are budget-friendly wired gaming headphones with slight differences in performance. They're still pretty basic headphones, and unlike the HyperX Cloud Alpha S, which are also budget-friendly gaming headphones, they don't have any customization features, so you can't customize them to your liking.

That said, if you don't mind the design or if you work in a quiet place, they have a comfortable and well-built design.

Where normally it sits kind of in the background, filling in the gaps between the instruments, on the Astro A10 it totally takes over the song, drowning out most of the cymbals and horn sounds. As it turns into a deep dip in the mid-mid, lead instruments and dialogue are pushed to the back of the mix.

These are closed-back headphones, meaning they don't disperse their audio into the room to mix with ambient noise around you. They don't have the premium build or metal hinges of the Astro A50 Gen 3 Wireless 2017, but their plastic headband is more flexible and feels a lot more durable. As for the headphones themselves, the Turtle Beach are more comfortable and have a slightly better-balanced sound profile, while the Astro are better built and feel a lot more durable. The Gen 2 have a lighter, more comfortable design with a more neutral overall sound profile, which some users may prefer. These affordable wired gaming headphones have a lighter design than their predecessor and don't clamp as tightly on your head. It is fully functional and has been professionally refurbished, inspected, tested and cleaned to an excellent condition.
