About this deal

Note: Most of Miele’s vacuums are bagged models, although the CX1 series has shown they are just as adept at making bagless vacuums. Following 20 seconds of trying, after which the area resembled a dog’s bed with numerous hairballs, we declared it a fail.

So, whether you need to clean laminate, tiles, carpet, or vinyl floors, we’ve found that the CX1 is a great choice. The Miele Classic C1 also has a 9m operating radius that allows you to clean a large area conveniently without switching sockets. We found that it’s brilliant for cleaning hard floors and carpets, while also being a solid choice for removing pet hair. You don’t need to manually unwind/rewind the cable or check if the vacuum bag is full like on many cheaper vacuum cleaners. As I’m sure you’re aware, brands like Miele are really well respected for making great Vacuum cleaners. We’ve given a full list of features for MIELE Classic C1 Junior PowerLine Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner above. The Cat and Dog model comes with a HEPA Lifetime filter, making it one of the best cordless vacuums for people with allergies. Miele has continued to focus on their cylinders (although they also produce cordless models), but has signalled an intent to move towards a bagless design with the Blizzard range. It also doesn’t come with the Comfort handle controls found on the Miele CX1 Comfort, which is a shame.

Note: The HX2 is the newer version of Miele’s original cordless series known as the Miele Triflex HX1. So to try and give a helpful answer, if you’re looking for a cordless or upright vacuum, Dyson are probably the better choice. Robust design Like all Miele products, the Classic C1 has been carefully tested for the equivalent of 20 years use, and designed to last. You can expect the battery to last anywhere from 17 to 60 minutes, depending on the power mode used. The Miele Classic C1 Junior PowerLine fails to impress at even a basic level as a result of too many niggling issues. The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other Miele owners to provide you with a good answer. Whether you’re cleaning hard floors, laminate or carpet, the C3 is brilliant at picking up dust and dirt.

Removes fine dust particles Engineered with a multi-stage filtration system, the Classic C1 Junior Vacuum ensures that allergens, odours and fine dust is filtered and contained. So spend some time considering what’s important to you and think about the areas that you’d be happy to compromise or not. When these filters get clogged the machine will not switch on, it takes some time cleaning and replacing these filters and is a real pain when all you want to do clean and get on. It lacks the advanced features of the C3 or CX1 ranges, yet still comes with six suction settings, a reasonably lightweight design, and excellent performance on carpets and hard floors.

The Triflex HX2 also has a motorised brush bar in the main floorhead and a mini turbo tool, so we found it’s great for removing pet hair from carpets and rugs.

Miele claims these bags allow vacuuming for up to 20% longer than a comparably sized normal bag before they need to be replaced. Or something a little different could be a product like NUMATIC Henry Xtra HVX200 Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner reviews or even NUMATIC Hetty HET160-11 Xtend Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner ¬ñ Pink, Pink reviews. The Miele Classic C1 also has 6 power settings that make it easy to choose a cleaning mode that matches the task at hand. There’s no vacuum cleaning task you can’t do with the Miele Classic C1, and you’re assured the 20+ years of service. Our 30cm test patch of combined Collie and Labrador hair, ground into the carpet pile for good measure – the hair, not the dogs themselves – caused a real issue for this cleaner.
