I think this is definitely Abby’s heaviest, most emotional work so far but I think it was done wonderfully. There were things that I liked, like Maddie (she was fun) and I loved seeing Daniel, Alexis, Jacob and Briana appearances. Trying to evade the matchmaking efforts of their grandmothers, two former childhood sweethearts pretend to get back together for the summer. I honestly didn't give AF about the romance, I was on edge the entire time waiting to see how the dynamic between Emma and her ain't shit womb donor (mom) shook out. I think I was weepy for the whole second half of the book for both pure love struck moments in the romance and moments my heart broke for both Emma and Justin for the cards they’ve been dealt. Yes, the stress of his family situation was downplayed big time, but at least it was something different than the "my mom died when I was young" backstory that we usually see for MMCs.In August 2011, it was announced that the JuliElmo tandem will have a movie, after their successful team-up for their first acting project Andres de Saya. I highly recommend reading Part of Your World and Yours Truly to really appreciate this story in its entirety.

The dual POV gives us a glimpse of two completely different stories, and lives, and slowly merges them into one complex yet beautiful story.When Kate Harris accepts a redecorating job of her brother Aidan’s house in the picturesque town of Willowbury, she knows it’s just a stop gap. Most of what is going on his below the surface, and I liked it, because there is no "other woman" or "other man", which is often introduced to create false conflict. I fell in love with the story and these characters and now I’m off to re-read Part of Your World to fill the Abby sized void in my life.

The sparks between the two were believable, even if the plot at times felt a little too far-fetched. Abby Jimenez my queen, thank you for writing such real+raw characters and a story that showcases the most vulnerable and intimate moments of two people coming together and falling madly for each other at time they both least expect it. In this case Emma and Justin were both so beautifully human and I foresee them sticking with me for a long time. I think that at this rate Abby is intentionally trying to see how many times she can make me sob in a book!

No spoilies but I did like the conclusion of the book and I found the characters decently flushed out. How romance isn’t just a big grand gesture but it’s more about the small part of life that are more rewarding.
