Nikon L35AF - a mini review - by Giacomo Zema - 35mmc
I don’t care about the depth so to say I care more so about the image quality for one and more importantly the auto focus.Since there’s no way to tell how long the shutter will remain open, it’s important to be aware of this weird functionality when shooting in low-light and remember to listen for the shutter to close before releasing the button. When the batteries are inserted and the camera turned on, open a backdoor using a button that is located on the backdoor. More impressive because of their practical proficiency, the auto-exposure and auto-focus systems are especially notable in use.
The Nikon L35AF: Still Brilliant After 37 Years | by Thomas
The camera looked to be in good condition, and these cameras don’t require any foam light seals to be replaced, so I thought I might as well take it out and shoot some film.It is a matter of preference as some people prefer the small form factor, or like me, others prefer something a little substantial to hold.
Camera Geekery: The Nikon L35AF - Japan Camera Hunter
No, the camera doesn’t fit in your jeans pocket like a Mju-II would – which isn’t an issue for me as I never leave home without some sort of bag or backpack anyways, but definitely will be for some. The only truly comparable underwater film camera, from a usability and image quality standpoint, come from within Nikon’s own portfolio – the Nikonos series. If you take the L35 AF apart then you have to be aware that the flash can still hold a charge and could be very dangerous. This can be a little annoying, but it beats using a flash when trying to achieve naturally lit, low-light images.
