About this deal

Deviant King by Rina Kent is one of the first books that made me really enjoy the Bully Romance genre.

Twisted Kingdom opened up Aiden King’s black heart, and I felt he had a wealth of character depth–but it served to prove to me that Elsa is a fickle and fairweather girlfriend who I couldn’t support.I do too though apparently, because I kept wanting her to give in to a lot of his demands pretty early on in the book! But every night of passion pulls Bryn deeper into his strange and sinister world, until she’s no longer certain she wants to leave…even if she could.

But it should have a trigger warning for anyone who has dealt with assault (more than the slight "bully" warning in the description). On Elsa’s first day of school Aidan tells Elsa that he will ruin her, and from that day a cycle of bullying commenced. Those who don’t play think that the king is the most important piece because the game is over when he dies. The story had a strong element of suspense that is well built and has some 'gasp' out loud elements. This book obviously is one of my most amazing, suspenseful read with great character development and off-the-chart steam and sweetness throughout the entire book! He doesn’t belong in a school that only accepts one percent of the iNteLliGent students (umm, this school needs to conduct a serious reevaluation). Aidan knowing every detail about Elsa the way he took care of her diet knowing what she could eat and what she couldn’t had my heart he wasn’t a complete psychopath but I’m not denying that he’s not one like he’s still 99.

While it’s easy to think that he is the sole piece of power on the game board at Elite Royal, one must realize that the Exchequer is just as capable of manipulating the game as he is. I know he's going to be a dark character and a bully, but the things he did to Elsa were beyond bully romance.Rina Kent in an English author who’s constantly parading between France and North Africa due to her studies and her husband’s demanding job. So Elsa starts her high school career at Royal Elite (lol) in England and on her very first day she's minding her own business when Aiden King (lol) comes out of nowhere, LITERALLY grabs her by the neck and shoves her against the wall with his whole soccer team just laughing on, and tells her he will destroy her. Why be happy with managing one thing when we can reveal personal weakness, betrayal, scandal, lying parents, near-death experience, perversions and degradations, and the ultimate sacrifice. It left me craving more, desperate to dive into the next installment of the Royal Elite Series, Steel Princess.
